I have a 2003 Saturn L200 and usually when I drive it for the first time of the day it dies on me. Its always when I am coming to a stop or slowing down to turn that this happens. I can then start it right back up again but it is still bothersome. Once the car I guess warms up i do not have this problem. I was thinking something with the fuel lines?

I have a 2003 Saturn Ion that will slowly accelerate when it is in 'drive' or 'reverse' to a speed of over 10mph. I will not press down on the gas at all when this happens. The rpm does not shoot up, there are no weird noises.
In essence, there are no other visible symptoms other than the acceleration of the car, which was not present yesterday afternoon. It just... Speeds up by itself.

I have a 2003 Saturn L200 and in the past week I had the same thing happen to me on two seperate days in the morning time. The car starts up fine and once I drive it to a stop light it dies, and I gotta keep my foot on the gas so it does not die.I get home and turn it off, a half hour goes by after the car has been off and there is no problems after I restart it both times. I have recently changed the fuel filter,checked the battery and alternator at Autozone and that was fine. I also checked all my fuses and they look fine.

Its on a saturn 2003 vue. Its a 3.0L V6 SFI DOHC. This car has 145,000 miles on it. I'm going to be buying an extended warrantied coverage for 5 years 200,000 miles. The dealer wants to see me the car for 4,300 dollars. I checked everywhere value wise and its below private party value. The only thing i'm concerned about is all the problems people have had with this year. I know the 4 cyl people said that the engine is a VTI or something. I was wondering if the 6 cyl has the same problem. I mean this car only had one owner so i'm not sure if its worth buying or not. Any mechanics would be nice for advice thanks

Hello.. I have a 2003 Saturn Vue, when i drive and go over 30mph and then i break lightly my break pedal kind of jumps in a thumping matter

Voting Question: Turn Signal Question
I have a 2003 Saturn ION.
My passenger side front turn signal doesn't work. The bulb is fine as I've swapped bulbs with the driver's side. All other three turn signals are working. When I initiate the right turn signal, the flasher on my dash flashes fast, and the bulb in the rear of the car flashes fast indicating a failure.
When I drive during the day, usually the bulb is lit because my car automatically turns on the parking lamps. However, when my turn signal is out, then the lamp doesn't come on.
So what's the failure here? Being as I've swapped bulbs, and the problem stayed, so it's not the turn signal filament. I've checked my car's manual, and I didn't see any fuses for the turn signal. There has to be one right?
What else would be?

I have a 2003 Saturn ION 2.4 liter 144 HP. About once every two weeks or so, sometimes a little longer, my car will suddenly die while I am driving. It doesn't matter if I am rolling, or sitting there with an idle. When the car dies, I will lose steering, brakes, blinkers, and emergency flashers.
If I'm rolling, I will have to put it in neutral, and then pull the key back and restart it. I have NEVER had a problem starting it back up. It will always crank up with no problems.
Another issue, and this happens more seldomly, is when I'm ready to turn my car off, sometimes my key won't turn back. The engine will turn off, but my key will stay locked. After I jiggle it for a few seconds, it usually releases itself.
I seem to think both problems are related to my ignition switch starting to fail, but if I'm totally wrong here, what else can it be?
When it's not killing while driving, or taking my key hostage, my car runs beautifully any other time.

I drive an automatic 2003 Saturn L300, 98k miles
Wednesday morning I got in my car to go to work, and it wouldnt start. It would turn over but wouldnt start. I sat back for 3 minutes and called Saturn... while on the phone, it started.
I drove to work, back to work, all around town that evening, and then at 11pm going to a friends house, driving 40 mph.. it literally shuts off and i'm coasting down the road. I was able to pull over, but it would not start at all. It would roll (turn) over and i was able to get it started a couple of times, but it would die after 5 seconds.
The lights, radio, everything works... its almost like the engine just wont "grab" when it finally starts.
I got it towed to Saturn and for two days they have been checking it, running tests on it, and today called me and said there is NOTHING WRONG WITH IT. No alternator problems, no fuel system problem, no starter or battery problem..... They said its been starting for them each time, they've driven it around many times and the tests come up completely clean.
Then they said to come get it.
????

That doesnt exactly make me feel safe... Any advice of what could have caused that?

Four days ago, my 2003 Saturn VUE had a hard time turning over. A couple hours later after turning it off and parking, it would not turn over. I let it sit for 15 minutes, then it magically turned over. I drove it heavily for 3 days with no symptoms.
Today it stalled while driving and would not turn over. I had to get it towed. 30 minutes later while the tow truck was there, it turned over!!
Once at Firestone, it turned over again. Alternator checked out OK, as did the battery. Mechanic said fuel pump had appropriate pressure, and he drove it for 35 miles with no symptoms. There is a "Service Engine Soon" light on with a code of Catalytic Converter running slightly hot, but mechanic said this would not cause the problems I am having. No work was done on the car, as it was symptom free.
Guess what--- when the mechanic called me to come and pick it up, it didnt turn over.
Possibilites are bad Fuel Pump or Computer glitch, I guess. Which one is it?

Today while sitting at a red light, my engine died without any warning. I was able to put it in Park, and it cranked right back up. Unfortnately this is not the first time it's happened.
About 3 years ago, it was doing the same thing, and it even did it while i was going 70 MPH. I had brought it to Saturn at the time, and after three days of testing, they couldn't find anything or duplicate it. Now, my car is out of warranty, and today was the second time in a month that it killed.

I have an Saturn L200 2003 that I have just bought in February. I drove my car and it was parked for at least 4-5 hrs which I consider normal, when I went to press the alarm on my key ring so I can go out nothing happened. I eventually had to use the key to get in the car, I tried to start the car and it would not even crank didn't make a noise or anything.Could it be the battery beings that nothing is working, or my altenator.. I also was experiencing lane change blinker problems. It worked when it wanted to. The hazards worked but they ended up stop working also. So could that have helped the drainage of the battery? What about my alarm system. I just had got an emissions in March. Nothing was wrong.

icy and i was driving only 30, 20 kilometers slower then the limit. There was a truck stopped infront of me in a no-parking zone. I did see him and did slow down long before i would be incontact with him. How ever my car slid, knowing i would hit his truck i turned to hit the snowbank. My left headlight hit his bumper. His truck had no damage. However my car did. The left side is smashed in. My hood is tented in. We do have full coverage for insurance collision and all. I'm pretty sure my parking brake is broken. It used to go up with a lot of resistance, and this morning I was able to pull it up all the way with no resistance. It doesn't feel like it's doing a darn thing. I used to use my parking brake every time I parked my car, so I'd generally just leave it in whatever gear I had last used.
So until I can get the parking brake fixed (tomorrow), what gear should I park my car in? I park in a level parking lot, but I'm still quite nervous I'm going to roll away!

He replied with "I don't even need to get any closer. Probably around $500. I'm going to send it straight to the junk yard anyways." I thought to myself that it can't be worth that much. He went inside and showed me how much its worth on KBB $851 in good condition. I test drove the civic but I didn't like it as much as the acura. What should I do? Get the Honda or the Acura? Which will last longer? Which is a better deal? Is $851 fair for my car? How much should my down payment be?
Theres nothing wrong with my car. It goes when you tell it to. I put my own sound system in it and everything. I'd say the car is in better condition now than it was when we bought it, just with 10,000 more miles. 2 steps forward, 2 steps backwards basically.
