  • Resolved Question: Where to buy a straight cut glass cutter and a diamond drill bit hole saw to cut holes in glass around 93612?
I have been looking around to buy a straight line glass cutter and a diamond dril bit hole saw to cut holes in glass locally, but haven't really had much luck. Does anyone know any local stores around Fresno/Clovis, CA that would stock and sell these things? I have found once place that got close, which was Home Depot, but they only sell diamond drill bit hole saws and they only sell two sized, which are 5/16" and 1 3/8", which 5/16" is too small and 1 3/8" is way too big. Although I found something similar, I have not found anything close to a straight cut glass cutter. These are the handheld one, kinda like an exacto knife, but have a diamond tip to cut lines and seperate glass. Are there other names for the glass cutter? Anyone know where to get them around my area? To clear up any curiousity that may arise, this is for a project for my snakes tank, which I am expanding and making a custom glass enclosure for them. Thanks in advance for any suggestions or pushes in the right direction. Also for those that will probably tell me about buying online, I am trying to avoid ordering over the internet at this time due to some issues I have had in the past with paying with a credit card over the internet. Plus most places dont accept PayPal that sell glass cutting tools, they just get your raw cc number and charge it. Anyways, help?

  • Resolved Question: Last week I signed up for an online test for a permit?
Around Friday last week I signed up for an online test for my permit. They billed my credit card and everything, but they never emailed me my code that I needed so I could actually TAKE the test. I tried calling half an hour later and it turned out they only accepted calls from 8AM to 5PM, and Monday-Friday so I had to wait. On Monday I was too busy studying for an exam the following day, so now today, Tuesday, I called again. After being redirected like three times I finally get someone on the line. They tell me they are going to email me the code. And hour later still no code in my email. And by then it is also to late to call. So now I have to wait again for tomorrow. What should I do if they don't give me the code? Is that 26$ gone? Is there anything I can do besides just calling them over and over again?
  • Voting Question: How does a high credit card limit affect your credit score?
I've opened a couple new credit card accounts (Visa Signature) and they open my account with a $20,000.00 limit. I will never use that much so I called to have it lowered to $5,000.00. How will this affect my credit score? Am I better to accept the high limit? Or, was it smarter to have them lower it? I also declined future "automatic" credit line increases. Please advise. Thank you.

  • Resolved Question: Artificial telepathy - Mark of the beast?
Let's take these implantable devices one step further. Rad this article on the latest technology for implantable electronics and teh potential uses being tested for broadcasting and recieving broadband information directly to the brain. This beneficial technology will help victims of paralysis and other disorders to perform some tasks thtrough these devices. What are your thoughts on these devices enabling direct communication via broadband between two individuals implanted with similar devices (a little more technology is needed, but that does not seem far off)? What are your thoughts these devices could be utelized as the "mark of the beast" in your forehead? Easily, these devices could be used to transmit information - biomedical markers - which are unique to individuals and may be an extremely secure form of identification. I find it amazing how technology is catching up and enabling the scenarios in Revelation to be fully realized in a literal sense. I use these technological advancements to debunk the idea that Social Security, credit Cards, and such are the "number of the beast," as some groups believe. I think this "number" may be something completey different - which we do not have in our transactional systems yet. Thoughts? I will accept intelligent atheist answers, even if you consider this a hypothetical situation. Trolls, hostiles, and wanna-be debunkers of God - I already know the basics of your answers, try to resist and don't bother answering. I am looking for answers which are well thought out in line with the question with the belief the Bible is true - or at least hypothetically plausible. • Resolved Question: I just recieved a letter from Citibank who is increasing my APR from 9.9% to 16.99%. Should I opt-out?
I've been a member since 2005 and generally use the card around 10x a month. I have not missed one payment from them since I applied and have always been in good standing either paying off the balance in full or carrying a small balance at the end of the month ($500 or so) The credit line is about $6,000 dollars and I have a total of three credit cards including this one which I have about $25,000 of total credit line. My AMEX which was issued by Bank of America has a flate APR of 7.9% which I plan on using more often now. I have the choice to continue to use my card with my current terms untill the card expires on July 31st 2010 which will lock me into 9.9%... or I can choose to accept and have my APR changed to 16.99% effective January. I figure if I opt out I can just apply for maybe a better card in 2010 or just carry the two I have now. What do you think?

  • Resolved Question: Does anyone know how to receive collect calls to Sprint cell phone from military brig?
I am trying to be able to receive collect calls to my Sprint cell phone. The calls are from a correctional facility but not the kind of facility where you set it up through a $25 or $50 charge to your credit card. Its from the Quantico VA military brig. I heard you can get a prepaid visa card and call sprint to set it up, but when I did it they said they don't accept collect calls and I have to go through the company. I believe the phone company of the brig is at&t, but can find no information or phone number to call. He has to call my house line which is very inconvenient and costly! Anyone who has any info will be greatttlyyy appreciated!!!
  • Resolved Question: Requesting higher credit line online 3-4 Times per year bad?
I have a Citi credit card. This is the only credit card that I have. I have been requesting credit line increases about 3 or 4 times a year on their website. It says that I have been automatically approved for a higher limit, and I click the button that says I accept it. I was just wanting to know if this hurts my credit score any by doing this? I have not been increasing my spending any with the higher credit line, but I like having it in case I need it. I have never had any late payments, and I always pay my balance in full before the due date.
  • Resolved Question: how do i tell my mom i'm moving out?
I'm 19 years old and Im her only child... I have no freedom even though I go to school full time (high school) I have 90s and above in all of my classes and I am graduating early in January as opposed to June because of my good grades---I also have a full time job that I've kept for over a year and take care of my responsibilities- it's not like I'm running around having babies & doing drugs and she's never received a phone call with a police officer on the other line asking her to come pick me up from jail... She says that she doesn't give me any freedom because I'm not "responsible" but I dont know what else I can do to show her that I am. My parents are divorced & my step father also recently moved out because of the way my mother is. Both my father and my step father have suggested that I find a roomate or friend and move out... every one has come to a stand still with my mother there is no winning or compromising with her... it's either her way or no way and she's not the easiest person to please. My only big dilemma is that I've just found out yesterday afternoon that my friend has a room with it's own bathroom and walk in closet for rent for only $400 a month from my end including utilities--- it's all happening at a very fast pase though because if I don't jump on it someone else is lined up for it but she would rather have me there-the thing is she needs help paying the rent and can't wait much longer... today is the 10th and she asked if I could move in by the 15th I'm unsure as to how I should tell my mother about all of this we're not arguing right now but I would like to leave on a good note- I don't want for us to get into an arguement and me just tell her you know what im leaving ... I feel that's the immature way of going about it... I want to be able for us to have a better relationship... we need space we see each other everyday and we are basically tired of each other but she's so over protective that she wont let me have any space she doesn't understand how this is pushing me away ... her stance of me moving out as she's told me before is "Once you're gone don't come back!" So this too makes me nervous because the lease is only for one year I'm hoping after that year is up if my friend decides not to renew the lease that she would accept me back- but I am also afraid that if I don't take this opportunity I don't know when I'm going to get another chance and I don't want for us to get into an arguement and have her kick me out(she's done it before) and leave me with no where to go I don't want to let it get that far- I want to show her that I am responsible because I will have been paying my rent, 2 credit card bills and 2 cell phone bills on my own- graduated high school early(which she does not know about) started trade school or been sworn into the u.s airforce(we aren't even going to get on the topic of the airforce because she is not in support of that either) and I'm doing well for myself... I'm hoping this will show her how resposible I really am maybe then she will take me back into the house and give me the freedom I believe I deserve.. I've been asking a couple of people what I should do and how I should go about it and they tell me it would be a good idea for me to move out... just so I could see how it is on my own & to have a little bit more responsibility than I have now but at the same time it would be a growing experience for both of us and it would give me and my mother our own space and time to think things over ... I'm just so unsure of everything going on. This week has been really tough on me I have alot of mixed emotions. I'm happy, nervous, excited, sad, relieved and stressed all at the same time!!! I don't know what to do and what to say to her...PLEASE HELP!!! Words of wisdom are greatly needed right about now. Thanks, Stephanie

  • Resolved Question: Ebay transaction--- Am I being ripped off?
I won an expensive video game system on Ebay a couple of days ago and immediately paid the seller with my credit card via Paypal. When I checked my recent history on Paypal, I saw that the payment was unclaimed. I figured it was no big deal, but now it has been 48 hours and the person still has not claimed it. I know it has only been 48 hours but still, when someone is giving you money, one would imagine that the first thing in the whole world you're going to do is go and get it. I called Paypal to see why this could be happening, and was told by the representative I spoke with that this person has a personal Paypal account and because of this they cannot accept credit card payments from Ebay. They will have to decline the payment or upgrade their Paypal account to get the money. They have not made an effort to do either one of those. I got the seller's phone number from Ebay and it was an Indiana area code. I tried calling it and got a message that the person was not available that I have heard when calling Skype users after one ring. As I looked into it a little further, this number is a land line (regardless of whether it is Skype or not) and the seller's listing says that he's located in Texas. Stupidly, I didn't care enough that the seller didn't have any feedback and had just joined Ebay a few days ago. There were a lot of bids from other users with hundreds of feedbacks (i.e. experience using the service) and assumed that if they trusted this enough to make the bid that I could as well. Is this some sort of scam? I can't piece together what this person could possibly be planning on doing but I'd really like a confirmation of sorts, even if it's just that the seller has accepted the payment. What should I do? I am thinking of having my bank charge back the payment when it clears but I don't know if I'm overreacting. Thanks. I should add that I sent them an email shortly after calling them on Saturday morning and they have still not answered or anything. So how long is an appropriate time to wait and see??? Not to sound immature but I really want the game or I really would like my several hundred dollars back...
  • Resolved Question: I can't get a credit card. Everyone keeps denying me. What do I do?
Here's the deal: I have this apartment lined up for me...and everything is taken care of, except for the fact that I need one more point, which means I have to get a credit card. I didn't know that applying for several different credit cards would have a negative effect on my score. I have no credit history and my own bank won't even accept me. Is there any way that I can get myself established? How can I fix this?
  • Resolved Question: Credit line increase on CC: Can I do it?
I have had a low ($500) limit credit card for 2 years and 9 months. It is an MBNA-issued Bank of America card. I have never been offered a credit line increase by the credit card company. I have also never had a late payment or an over-limit charge. I have, however, kept the outstanding balance relatively close to the credit limit for the past year or so. I decided today to pay off $200, leaving the outstanding balance at around 55% debt/credit ratio. Is it likely that BOA will accept my credit line request? Should I wait a while and keep trying to pay down my balance before trying to request one? What is the general procedure/criteria for a credit line increase? And if I do request an increase, will an inquiry viewable by creditors appear in my credit report? I know it's a lot of questions, and I really appreciate any insight. Thanks. To clarify, I do not need the card for day-to-day expenses. I have had an outstanding balance for a long time, and though I have had money in checking to pay it down, I never really bothered until recently learning about credit. Therefore I just decided to begin paying it down.
  • Resolved Question: Driver's Licence cannot be required to purchase with credit card!?
So the question really is this: Many debates about the above statement go on and on. The bottom line is the merchant agreements say you can't require id. Many people think it is a great idea to ask for id. However, this isn't the point. The merchant agreement is what it is. Consumers don't currently have any say in it? So what is so hard to understand. If you think they should change the merchant agreement, you may be correct. Until they do, retail sales associates cannot require ID. Why can't people just accept the rules and stop arguing something that isn't an argument because it is clear and decided what the regulations are? I agree with both of the below answers....However, it doesn't relieve the merchant from complying with its requirements. I am a district manager and I certainly am not interested in being hassled my VISAnet or Mastercard International just to make myself feel better about "What I'm doing" to prevent fraud.

  • Resolved Question: Going to Tahiti Village, LV... Please help, if you've been.?
Last night I "won" one of those 3 day/2 night trips to Vegas through Roseanne Barr's radio ad for Tahiti Village while listening to KISS FM(Chicago's version -- if you live in any mainstream area, I'm sure you have your own.) I called 866-918-3427. (91-VEGAS). A recorded message of Roseanne Barr came on congratulating me on "making it on the list" and "please hold, don't lose your place in line." So I waited, a guy answered, I gave him my name, address, and vitals (single white female). Then the guy says "congratulations -blah blah blah- it'll be in the mail within 7-14 business days." -click- I don't know -what- will be in the mail in these 14 bus. days. I'm expecting a voucher. I don't even know what's included in the trip. So I call the radio station. Guy picks up, I tell him the "great news" and again I get "congratulations" w/o much info. I ask "what's included?" and he says "hotel/flight." No mention of the timeshare scam. So today I called the same number, and this time some guy answers (no recorded Roseanne). Repeated x2, again, same result. I hung up on the last two; the first time I asked for more info, the guy asks ME if if I've put in my $98 deposit yet. I said "no, I just called yesterday" or something to that extent and he says, "oh, the roseanne barr thing. Go to mdvegas.com, your answers will be there, we don't have any information." Then before he could hang up, I said "wait, what $98 deposit?" He says "oh, that doesn't pertain to you." So I researched -- yes I'm aware it's a timeshare. BUT: for me, it may be worth it. (SWF, full-time student, can't afford a $1000 vegas excursion... and never been west of the Mississippi.) So yes. I know it's a time share "scam". I have no problem with putting myself and a friend through a half day of nagging and sales pitching, as I have no problem saying "no," and I can't afford it either way. While researching the multiple threats online, I've come across a few things I have questions about. This is why I'm asking someone to please reply, if they've been (especially recently), since I'm sure you'll know the answers. My Questions: 1. - I've heard you must be married to participate. But, I'm single. They still accepted this answer. I said "no significant other/plans to be married", etc. Apparently, this was fine. BUT -- I know how these sales persons are -- he may have just written down I was attached/ignored me for the sake of gaining a lead on this "manhunt." So -- does this still apply to singles? Is a marriage partner necessary? (Yes, I make over $25K/year, I've been asked this before.) 2. -- How MANY of these presentations do you have to go on? Is it a "one-time" thing (even though it may last up to 6 hours), or is it a "one time per day" thing? 3. -- I'm aware there may be blackout dates in choosing the trip dates for the voucher. BUT: I've also heard the dates might not be consecutive. True? 4. -- I've heard from 2 people that if you choose NOT to participate in the "optional" timeshare presentation, your credit card will be billed for the full cost of the trip. I have no problems with participating, but with these kinds of companies, I want to make SURE they don't charge me anyway -- since I will most definitely be saying "NO" to everything they offer me. 5. -- Most importantly (and I realize this may have different applications to do each diff. package deal, etc., so our experiences may differ): IS the flight included? (I'm not sure how qualified the DJ intern was in answering that question... so what was your experience?) Please advise, if you can. I know I have a lot of questions, but I really want to go prepared, if I go. Thanks ahead!!
  • Resolved Question: Pre-paid credit cards versus debit cards?
If someone can't get a credit card, I think I have heard of something that can be used anywhere a credit card can be used because you've put money into the card in advance. It's almost like a gift card. However, the main idea would be to use it to make on-line purchases. What I don't know is: Are there retailers (on-line or regular) that will accept this kind of credit card but will NOT accept debit cards. Because if they all accept debit cards then I might as well just use the debit card. For some reason I thought I heard that debit cards are not accepted everywhere a credit card would be. I don't know why that would be true. If it's true and you know why, please explain. If the prepaid "credit" cards are better for some reason, do they cost money? Or do they just earn the interest that is on the prepaid amount?
  • Resolved Question: Anyone's got a paypal?
Hello guys. My question is about the little money I received as payment to my articles published on line. The payment was sent via paypal and because I don't have a credit card, I used my debit card account instead. When I accepted the money, the transaction says completed but the money never came into my account. I sent a letter of inquiry to paypal but I never received any reply. I wonder how this happens. All the transaction history is reflected in my paypal account and it states the date and time of the completion of payment but the money never came to my account. The money is not big, yeah, but I wonder if how reliable paypal is. The problem is, any payment to my next articles would still be via paypal. Anybody who got something to share about this? Thank you.
  • Resolved Question: How do I explain myself to my boss?
in a way where he will accept it? ...I do his expenses every month, and I have not been expensing them right away - I expense them when its closer to months end, so I can expense them all in one shot. He wants me to expense things right away - the minute they hit his credit card. How do I convince him I will do so going forward - and what is a reason I can give him for waiting so long? The truth will not work - because that will put him on edge. I was thinking of something like "In order for me to expense charges right away, I must monitor your american express usage on-line, and i will do so going forward" but i dont want him to feel like he has to "watch" me. any ideas?

I just got approved for a mastercard. When I hit accept it said thank you your new card will be in the mail within 2 weeks. • Resolved Question: How can you accept credit cards on line from other countries?
If I have an ecommerce website, and someone from Europe wants to use a credit card to pay for the product, will that be any different from accepting credit cards from people in the United States? I plan on using Visa, Mastercard, AE, and possibly Discover card as payment options. I am using authorize.net as my gateway. Thanks for the help!
  • Resolved Question: Won an on-line auction seller took payment and now they want to cancel the auction and refund money
I was bidding on a PropertyRoom.com auction and won the item I was bidding on. After winning another bidder compaline3d about my log-in name "Sorry Auction Closed". Propertyroom suspended my login and sent an email notifying me that I was in violation of the user agreement. However they said, via email, they would honor the auction since I was the high bidder. They processed a payment for the total auction amount of 508.80 and that amount was charged to my credit card. When they notified me of the charge I sent an email telling them I accept and I would pick up the item on a specific day. Now 6 days later, user agreement allows for 10 days to pick-up, they notify through email they have changed their minds and will not honor their original auction award. They have made an attempt to refund the original charge. What gives? Do I have a case against them for breach of contract? There was an offer, both parties accepted the offer and consideration was tendered. Any legal minds out there have any advice. I understand their issue but their resolution really put the cart before the horse. The item I purchased has substantial value to me and I would like to fight them.

  • Resolved Question: A lot ofbusiness won't accept credit card purchases under $10 now. Can they do that?
I saw a report on the news that said credit card companies do not like that when merchants do that. They said to call their customer service line and inform them of which businesses are doing that. But it ends up hurting the business in the long run. If I go to a store once and they deny me from using my credit card, I won't ever go back there again even if I have cash in the future. They're losing a repeat customer.
  • Resolved Question: I already applied for a Macy's visa credit card but I'm not sure if this is good for build my credit history?
I came from Cuba only 5 months ago and I live in Miami. I've a visa credit card but a bank employee told me I need to get more lines of credit to build a good credit history for my future, so I applied on line for a Macy's visa credit card and now I'm not sure if I did the right thing or not because after that I saw several bad comments in internet about Macy's credit cards and I don't know if better I cancel my card when I'll get it. In addition to, I need to know if I can use this card in any place that accepts visa credit cards, thanks to every one. I need to know if I can use it in any place that accepts visa.
  • Resolved Question: Credit Cards and Credit-What would you recommend me?
I currently have 3 credits cards one with 0% 'til Jan. '09, (Been with this account since '08)second one with an APR 23%( since '04) and a third one with a 22.4% APR. (since '03). I recently received a great offer from bank of america offering a line of credit up to $15,000 with a minimun charge of $3 that will apply to the amount of each balance transfer(dont know if this is an annual fee? I dont think so though!) Now, my question is what should I do? should I accept the offer or reject it. I would love to transfer my old balance to this new offer, because of the 0% APR that this bank is offering me, and still if they are charging the 3% on the balance transfer still is not too bad. But im concern with my credit. - Wouldn't this affect my credit; if I do this balance transfer since im closing an old account to open a new one? I have heard that this is not recommendable for you credit. My credit score is in the 600s. Can someone advise me???
  • Resolved Question: Trying to buy home....landlord refuses to verify rental history!?
We have a low credit score but the last 16 months of history is squeaky clean. Now our landlord says he will not verify our rental history because we do not want to buy his house. We never agree'd to that. He also had us pay cash, he refused to accept anything else. He gave us generic type reciepts...some with just the amount written, no signiture. Besides the rental history we have no credit cards or anything else that could be used for lines of credit for FHA or VA(which is how we wanted to go) How screwed are we? No Car loans or anything either....

  • Resolved Question: What credit score is a good minimum to obtain a private student loan?
I've searched online and in this forum but can't find an answer to my specific question. I have already obtained Stafford Loans (unsubsidized and subsidized), but make too much money to get a Pell grant. So far I have received a little in scholarships. However all of this is still not enough. My credit isn't bad, but isn't great - in the 620s. I need about $20k more per yr after my other aid and my part time job. I recently paid off 3 out of 4 credit cards and have a few months before my 4th is paid off. I'm working on getting my score higher. I've been at my job for 2 yrs and don't think I'll have any problem meeting the income requirements. My credit lines, however, are only 1 yr old. I would like to obtain a loan for the next school year. Does anyone know, given my circumstances, what score would be a generally accepted minimum to be able to obtain a private student loan (of any amount)? Also, would choosing to start making payments immediately help my chances and/or interest rate?
  • Resolved Question: How to write a company reporting on my credit report, about a payment plan to settle debt?
I am going to try to resolve some bad marks on my credit by paying off some older debt. I don't have bad credit card debt or anything of the sort. Just some old bills that went to collections from hospitals, cell phones, utilities, etc. Many of these have been from years ago (some 5+ years). Now that I am making a decent living, I am finding it hard to obtain lines of credit, and know what my score is. I ordered my 3 free credit reports yesterday, and will be expecting them in the mail shortly. I want to try to tackle these 'old' debts to get them off my report, and hopefully improve what's written on my report. I read that the first step in doing this, is to write a letter to each company listed on the report, stating that you want to rectify the situation, and to work out a payment plan. What types of things should I ask? Should I propose options? If they respond with a payment plan or settlement amount, do I accept it or negotiate? If I correct these, will they come off
  • Resolved Question: Fair or unfair? Please give honest opinions...?
Let's say you are in the Wal-mart customer service department line, and you need to purchase a money order. The line is very long, and you have waited at least 15 minutes by the time you get to the cashier. When she starts processing your request and when you swipe your credit card, she tells you that they do not accept credit cards for money orders, only cash or debit. You can't use your bank account card (you need that for food, etc), and as you walk away you see an ATM (which is literally 10 feet from the customer service desk) You use your credit card to withdraw cash from the ATM. The cashier is finishing up with the person who was behind you in line, but as she is doing so she tells you that you are going to have to wait in the WHOLE F*** 15 MINUTE LINE AGAIN, even though you honestly got there before ALL of those people standing in line now. Should you have to wait again (totaling twice the wait time as everyone else) or is she wrong?

I currently have four cards - one from each major issuer - and about $14,000 in credit and, no, my income is not in this ballpark. My highest limit is on Discover (which is not accepted in as many places). For instance, my pharmacy and doctor's office don't take them. I would prefer to have this same total limit distributed differently...low limit visa or mastercard go up and the discover card go down. Would such a drastic increase/decrease on multiple lines of credit affect my score and rating even if the total amount does remain the same? So, basically, every six months or so I should request a limit increase on the Visa or MasterCard and just leave Discover alone?
  • Resolved Question: Should I Keep my new AMEX Blue?
Applied for the 0%-15mo Intro APR but recieved the card and the terms they offered me were only 0% for 6mo Intro APR and whopping 17.5% after. But the credit line is 10,000. That would be good for overall utilization and help my FICOs but my scores arent too bad 680-730 range as it is. I have 3 other cards at far lower rates. And they both gave 0% Intro APR for 12mo. Did AMEX just give me a bad deal that I should not accept and try for another high limit card with better terms? My other cards total 12000 in limits with balances totalling 3000.
  • Resolved Question: Is it possible to apply for a credit card but not accept it if the amount is not what you were expecting?
When applying for credit cards in the past, my recollection is there wasn't a choice about the credit line I received. Once I applied for the card & received a credit line, I had the card. So the real question may be...is there a way to shop around for credit lines without killing my credit score? Example: I have a balance on a card that I would like to transfer to 0%. The first reason would be to get the 0% for a year or whatever the offer is. The second reason would be to spread out some of the balance so that I don't have a balance close to my credit limit on a card. I could be wrong but it seems to me that being able to spread out the debt over two cards...carry a 40% ratio of debt/credit limit on two seperate cards...would be better than having an 80% ratio of debt/credit limit on one card. When searching for a card, with all the options & different sources, If I apply to one and the credit line is not what I expected, can I say 'no' and shop around for a better deal?

  • Resolved Question: Contract Law help please ?
Jello sent an e-mail to Barkus drawing his attention to Jello’s website where there was a special offer for Jello’s widgets. The website allowed Jello’s customers to order goods on-line. The ordering process included a page which set out Jello’s standard terms of business, to which customers had to agree before they could complete their orders. Under Jello’s standard terms, Jello reserved the right to increase the price of widgets by 10% from the price of £50 per widget quoted on the website. Barkus decided to order a quantity of widgets, but e-mailed Jello first to say he wanted a fixed price of £50 per widget. Jello replied by e-mail saying “I agree to sell at £50 per widget. Please place your order on the Jello website.” Barkus did so, pressing the “I accept” button on the page setting out Jello’s standard terms of business and providing his credit card details. Jello supplied the widgets ordered and debited Barkus’ credit card account @ £55 per widget. Who is at fault here ?
  • Resolved Question: How does a credit card machine work?
We have opened a second hand store and we carry a lot of furniture. We really don't like accepting checks as some of them tend to bounce farther than a bungee jump. We want to accept credit cards and debit cards. Do they run through a phone line or a computer line? What should I know about them and what should I watch out for?
