I live in England and I am in my first year of college studying for my A-levels, and I would love to continue my studies into University. I was interested in taking a gap year in France, so finding work and accomodation there - I only speak very little French (the basics), so I know finding a job would be difficult as it would have to be mostly English speaking work. However I am now hoping I would be able to continue my studies (University) in France. I am aware of the American University of Paris - however I cannot realistically ever afford to study there, but wondered if there are any other English speaking Universities in France and/or ideas for finding affordable accomodation and suitable work. I understand I will need to look into things in a lot of detail but I was hoping for some help and suggestions as I am struggling finding any useful information myself.

I need to rent an apartment for a few days in Paris. I've never been so I don't really know where to look or who to book with.
Ideally a 3 bed room apartment. It has to be central. Near the Louvre, the Champs- Elysee, The Eiffel Tower, Metro. All the sights really.

I'm going to Paris later this august, and have an excellent itinerary planned of all the famous sights and of course, all of the little cafes and secret spots of Paris. (I hope!) Will travelling be easy to work out? I am going with a friend and we both have international student cards, so will we get discounts? We intend to use the metro. Should we get a carnet of tickets at the beginning of the week? Any tips you can give us for the bus system, the metro, the taxis, decent pubs, cafes, bars and clubs in Paris?
Also, excluding getting there and back, and accomodation, I have budgeted £150 for 5 days. More like 4 days, really. Is this realistic? I plan on never eating out, and museum admission rates are generally very good for students: usually free.
We are staying at the Aloha hostel in a mixed dorm of 6 people. So we will be living with four strangers. We will be bringing padlocks for our bags! Are there any safety tips you can give us? Does anyone know the aloha hostel themselves?

Hey everyone, well I'm thinking of looking at taking a working holiday to either France ( Paris ) or the Uk ( london ) and I was looking at the rates and well they are a bit out of my zone lol. I was wondering if anyone possibly might have a room available with a reasonable rate of rent, and in return I could do chores as well, wash dishes, do laundry etc etc. I'm a 19 yr old Male, no criminal convictions, and just looking for a place to stay that isn't overly priced with people that I can enjoy spending time with, of course I wouldn't be home alot as I would be scoping out the fantastic sights and working.
I know this is a bit creepy but hey it's worth a shot right?
