Hi, I am 18 yrs and I just went to a skin clinic.
They showed me this image of myself in blue light which showed severe acne scarring, oily skin, tanning and mild pigmentation.
I have been recommended to use:
1.) Moisturizer
2.) skin lightning cream
3.) sunscreen in the morning
4.) face wash lotion
5.) Rev. Lotion
I can with some effort afford the above five.
However, they also recommended some facial treatments to get rid of the acne scars and tanning.
I can't afford those facial treatments.
My skin is mildly sensitive in nature.
What would you recommend as an alternative to the facial treatments, I am looking at something cheaper and possibly homemade.
Also can I get the treatments at home? As in personally do them on myself?
I am looking at a 6 month major improvement objective.
All suggestions are deeply appreciated.

I was checking out a web site (can't remember the name! Sorry!)
And it was a listing for every over the counter product on the market for Hair care & skin care. Each product is measured on scale from 0-10, 0 being the best, 10 being the worst. Most of the products I use for my skin falls in the middle (Moderate Hazard) with the exception of my Carmex lip balm (they said it was EXTREMELY hazardous to my health because of the ingredients)
Now I have made a step forward in terms of an organic lifestyle. (I drink organic milk and eat organic eggs. I've stopped relaxing my hair almost 2 years ago and use organic products in my hair)But I am afraid of trying to switch to Organic products in terms of skin care.
I have had acne for 11 years and it has ranged from a mild case of zits to a horrible case of Cystic acne on my back, chest and face that has left scarring and dark marks. I feel like for the first time in a long time I have some control over it.
1. I drink alot of water.
2. I use Dial Gold Bar soap to wash my body.
3. For my face Noxzema Triple Clean Antibacterial Wash, Noxzema Triple Clean Acne pads, Neutrogena's Invigorating foaming scrub and Retin-A.
(I know that is alot for my face, but nothing else has worked up to this point!)
4. To moisturize I just use Cetaphil Moisturizing Body lotion and the facial moisturizer with SPF 15.
But according to this website, I shouldn't be using any of my skin products because of the risks with the ingredients.
I fear that if I start to experiment with Organic skincare products, all of the Acne I fought to get rid of will come back tenfold!
Not to mention I'm on a very strict budget!
But I would like to use more Organic products in the future, but I'm afraid they will not serve their purpose and I will be stuck with bad skin and empty pockets!
What should I do?

I have severe acne that was pretty under control with a daily 3 step system (Clinique's acne system, containing salicylic acid and benzol peroxide). After finding out I was pregnant, I stopped using it because I read that it wasn't safe on an online baby website.
Soon after stopping the treatment, my entire face became covered with acne- every inch of it, worse than I'd ever seen on anyone in my life. At my first prenatal appointment, the nurse felt bad for me but said there really wasn't anything I could do but use a plain cleanser and maybe some baking soda for a scrub.
Yesterday I had another appointment and I asked my OB if there was anything I could do about my acne. He suggested things like the 3 step system I had been using, and told me that so long as I was using it externally, I would be safe.
I'm so confused now! I do not want to take any risks, but at this rate, my complexion is going to be scarred for life. I don't even want to show my face in public! I swear, nobody will ever see a picture of me from this pregnancy...or my wedding (getting married in a month). What on earth is a girl to do with all this conflicting advice?
Someone asked why I'm giving the internet so much 'clout'...I'm not giving the internet any credit, just stating that as the reason I stopped using my acne treatment in the first place.
What the issue is, is that my OB's nurse told me to absolutely stay away from anything with salycilic acid (one of many acne fighting ingredients she advised me to avoid), then my doctor turns around and says it's okay to use it.
My OB has been wrong before about a few things (leading me to seek treatment for a condition elsewhere) which is the main reason I would have any doubt in what he says.

So my skin sort of sucks right now.

I have a bunch of acne scars on my cheeks (mainly the left), and it's too the point where I can't cover it up with make-up (and yes, I use concealer). They're sort of fading, but I can still see them with all my make-up on, and I don't have money for microdermabrasion. Is there anyway to help them fade quicker?
I have these two white heads that have been on my nose for quite some time and they just WON'T go away! Do those pore strips work, or are they just for black heads? I also heard toothpaste works, but I thought that was just for pimples...?
Also, my skin is really dry. What kind of face washes/toners/mostuirizers work for that? I'm using this Aveeno skin brightening scrub, and it works okay... but is there anything better?
I use alchohol free toner, and garnier mostuirizer.
I would prefer something that isn't too pricey, and something you could easily find at a wal-mart or something.
Also, I don't like popping white heads... I'm afraid of even more scars.

Hey everyone, this is mainly a question for the girls but guys can answer if they have had experiences with this.
When I was younger I had really bad acne and had a little bit on my face but a lot on by back and shoulders, I remember the people I was around used to refer to this as "Bacne" and used to make fun of people who had it. Now that I'm pretty mature I don't have acne anymore but I have some scarring on my back and shoulders which look like small red bumps on my back, almost like a large mole.
They have treatment to smooth it out but the redness would still be there, so I think I could cover it up with tattoos' I like but that be expensive

I'm taking Claravis (Accutane, Isotretinoin) 40 mg a day (regular dosage). It's two weeks in and I notice my skin is flattening, my cysts are dying down and I'm starting to peel, but I'm peeing every ten minutes and my lips are dryer than the Gobi Desert. Sometimes I get cotton mouth and I'm sleepier than usual. How long can I expect before my scars go away and my cysts fully subside?

I heard putting oatmeal with honey on your wash as a mask helps your skin look healthy.
I heard of a Aspirin Mask [taking aspirin you get from a drug store and mixing it in water and applying on face] and putting Vitamin E on your pimple scars can help.
I heard tomatoes on face can help treat it as well.
