Open Question: Help! How do you deal with this? My school is stereotypical and catty.?
It has around 2800 people, and the people can be really catty, mean, loud, or just whatever. It's like downtown New York.
Anyways, so there are these really materialistic girls (you know, scarves, earrings, jewelry, Ugg boots, Louis Vuitton--and they're only 14-16). Yesterday I was crossing the hallway the same time they were trying to walk past, and they HUFFED at me.
Also, the Asians at this school are really setting a bad stereotypical scene for me (also an Asian). They're extremely quiet and always stare at you in this creepy way.
So great. First you get cattiness (I thought this ended in middle school), then you get degraded because the majority hate asians, THEN you get degraded more and more... I get good grades, and take good classes with good folks, but this school is killing me on the inside.
Any advice? I'm a sophomore by the way.
And don't say move to a new school. I'm kind of serious here...

I graduated a 1 year and a 1/2 ago with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and recently got hired working at a university. Because my interests changed I decided to start a Second Bachelors program which the university pays 75% on in Interdisciplinary Studies- Asian Track. I developed an interest in Japanese language and culture through Anime, Manga, and video games. Although neither of these two have connection to each other I like both areas. Once I get my second degree I plan to enter a grad program in Hawaii but am unsure what program I have the most interest in. Japanese language is popular in Hawaii but I am also unsure as to how I can make a connection between Asian Studies and Psychology into a career. Any suggestions????? Thanks for your help.

I've seen them on KBS (a Korean channel) performing on a few shows recently, but I've never caught their name (since it's Korean after all). Open Question: My hair color got messed up,how to fix?
I'm an Asian female and I'm 18 years old. My hair is naturally BLACK black so I change my color all the time, and hairstylists have to bleach it first to get the color onto my hair to show up. Most recently I had bright blonde highlights in my hair, and I went over it with black hair color dye from the cheap boxes at Walmart. A few months after this I went to Holiday Hair and requested very blonde highlights again. I ended up with ugly orange bright copper color that's not what I wanted.
How can I fix this? Get a new hairdresser to re-bleach it and go over it or what?

I recently received this via e-mail. It is apparently a response Michael Richards had regarding his so called racial rant at a comedy club. Now I have seen for many years now how society has shaped itself into a civil right movement / minority first. While i support the base of the creation of such movement and agree with their "original" work and focus. I find myself today wondering what has gone wrong for those movement to simply take everything out of context and implicitly reinforcing minorities rights OVER white people rights. It seems that "Kramer" puts it pretty well in his words when he asks why are just Whites called racist? you read ... and you tell me what you think.
I am trying to understand how we all got to this point and why are the civil right movement lost so much of its credibility.

Okay, here's my situation.

Okay, I am doing a project in school, on Japanese internment in the northwest during WWII, and I have always had an underlying interest in Germany, so I have done more extensive research on the Holocaust, and I can't help but think that there are similarities, while its true, the Japanese weren't put in death camps, but what was to stop that from eventually happening? Every religion I can think of still believes Satan's and the very first lie.
The eastern religions over by Asian and India they believe in reincarnation and in Christianity type religions they believe that instead of dying you go to heaven or hell or some other type of purgatory.
Is there any other religion besides Jehovah's Witnesses that realizes that is a lie? And when you die you are dead, that means you will return to dust and are conscious of nothing at all. (Genesis 3:19, Ecclesiastes 9:5)
