Open Question: What Prepaid cell companies offer mobile email?
I'm looking for a Prepaid plan that will allow me to check my Yahoo! email from my phone. I've checked out the Virgin Mobile plans, but don't like their phones. Some of the ATT GoPhones advertise that they are loaded with mobile email capability, but I can't find anything to confirm this or detail the pricing for it. I know that just because a phone can do something, doesn't mean the plan will allow it. Does anybody have a recommendation...besides Virgin...for prepaid mobile email access?

Currently, I have the Pantech C300 (AKA the world's smallest flip phone) and it is a prepaid cellphone. I am still planning on keeping a prepaid account. I only use my cell phone for emergencies and to talk to friends about something important. I recently found out I can get a texting plan on prepaid accounts so I started to text alot. Anyway, I will be a more frequent texter and I won't really make any calls unless it is a family member or I NEED to talk, not text, a certain person. I don't mind paying a "no commitment" price on a phone since I just started working again. I am an 18 year old, 6'2 male college freshman. I want a cell phone that reflects who I am and fits in to my characteristics. I love sports and I don't really "need" a smartphone or any other phone with all the bells and whistles. I just want a texting phone and one that makes good calls. Some nice features would be a music player and camera ( I dont know why people say a 1.3 MP camera sucks. My current phone has a VGA camera and I thought it was pretty good. The 1.3 MP is even better. Some lady told me that people think it sucks whenever you want to print out quality pictures but I rarely do that.) It's time to upgrade to a more modern phone. The Pantech C300 has given me a good 2 years but it is kind of outdated. Also, it looks funny how I am 6'2 and I have such a small phone XD Some phones I have been considering are the ATT Quickfire, Pantech Matrix, Pantech Duo, LG VU, LG Shine. Like I said, I don't need all the bells and whistles since I wont pay for services other than calls or texting but I don't mind other features like internet or wi-fi if the cell phone looks nice and reflects who I am (I just wont use the other features for additional costs). Other suggestions for a cell phone are welcomed. Pros and cons of whatever cell phones you reccomend and I WON'T switch to another company or get a contract.

My daughter headed off to Germany for 2 months with her cell phone. We have ATT service. We called ATT and set up the phone to work there. It is a Nokia 6102i, tri-band phone. She used the phone to call out, and get calls without any trouble. However, due to cost of roaming we decided that she would purchase a prepaid sim from Vodaphone. We were able to get the unlock code from ATT - it only took 1 hour even though they said it may take a week to get the code. So we now have the phone unlocked. My daughter put in the sim card from Vodaphone and it seems to take the sim just fine. However, it is not getting any reception. Is it possible to change the band mannually, or is it supposed to do this automatically? She has tried turning the phone off and back on for extended periods without any luck. Any tricks? ** Note that she was able to use the phone with the ATT sim card in it. She was getting bars on her phone.**
