Open Question: Platinum or Dirty Blonde?
I got my hair bleached platinum blonde yesterday. Unfortunately it's a little lighter than I expected. Voting Question: Help Me! My Dog is a Chewer that is 1 1/2 yrs old?
I have a 1 1/2 yr old Pom that we love. We adopted her a few months ago and didn't have any real problems. She was housebroken quickly and rather easily, but in the last week she has developed a knack for chewing. We have provided her since she came home a variety of different chews and toys for her. She really hasn't paid much attn to the toys, she does like the bones though. In the last week though, she will go get one of the kids toys and chew it up. It doesn't matter where the toys is. Some have been on shelves, toy bins, the kids bed, their floor (even though that's not where they belong, lol), the kids chairs, and even on a small play table. This is starting to get expensive and the kids are starting to be mad at the dog b/c of the destroyed toys. I want to be able to have a harmonious household. We give our little lady lots of love, attn, exercise, and as I said earlier she has her own toys that are kept in a basket on the floor. I think that she has learned that her things are in that basket b/c I see her go to the basket and look for one bone in particular sometimes. The toys that she is destroying range from a stuffed animal (I can sort of understand that one), dolls like Hannah, HS Musical, Barbie are just chewed to pcs, cd cases and cds / dvds, pokemon, transformer hard plastic, markers, chapstick, books, and headphones, headphones, headphones. Well you get the picture. I have bought the bitter spray, but what would I spray since she has a taste for all sorts of toys. Thansk for you help in trying to understand this behavior and find a solution. Oh one more thing, When we catch her chewing something that isn't hers, we give a real short NO and redirect her to one of her own toys.

Help! When I was 9 and my family moved into our new home, I chose a pink theme as that's the color I loved at the time. I'm older now and hate the dark pink carpet and barbie curtains. I have a purple metal bunk bed that I will sell so I will have a completely fresh start. Idealistically I'd love a black and white themed room, maybe with a zebra carpet and wicker basket cupboards, something elegant or sophisticated. On the other hand I'm equally keen on an indian theme, with incense burners and a gold and blue theme. I have no idea what to do, I don't want to download one of those 3D room designers but my room is completely out of proportion and I hate it. All the women want the perfect man. Someone who is very attractive, tall dark and handsome. Someone who makes over 100K per year. No children, no drama, no prior baggage. Dang, I guess they just want it all, like Barbie ! And some of these women are nothing like what they are demanding ! Some are 50 to 100 pounds overweight according to their pictures, have 3 kids living at home, they look like crap ! So where can I find a good woman ? I work at home so it's hard for me to get out and find women. Where can I meet some quality women ? I am not ugly at all, various women have told me that I am very appealing. This is a real question and I am not using obscene language or insults. I'm really curious about the answers. Yahoo! answers, please respect the 1st amendment and don't erase this just because some Palin lover complains, when she is "criticized", as usual. To me, this woman looks 50 years old. Yeah, a "very attractive" 50-year-old, but still an old woman (I think "middle aged" is the politically correct term, although if that were so, regular people would live 100 years in an average, and I really doubt that). As a younger person, I look at her and I don't see her half as "attractive" as any average American white young woman (young meaning younger than 29). I understand people like David Letterman being attracted to her, but young people? I don't think so! BTW, Barrack Obama looks younger than her, he is fit like a young person, and yet he has not attracted the American people for his physical appearance, yet for his intelligence, common sense, charisma and accomplishment as an orator. Along with the rest of America I gravitated towards my TV the minute I heard the breaking news that the remains of little Kaylee Anthony had been discovered by that utility worker. Then I held my six year old daughter and hugged and kissed her. Then I watched as the footage of that sweet 3 year old toddler reading her picture book was displayed again and again. Also, it did not escape me how much love her grandfather effused upon her. WHY would anyone wish to harm such an adorable, ebullient little girl like this? It seems that the main culprit is none other than Kaylee's own mother, Casey Anthony who might have seen her daughter as an obstacle in her desire to party to eternity. Until I see concrete evidence of a likely filicide I am going to give Ms Anthony the benefit of the doubt. I have just given my daughter a Barbie dollhouse and all the accessories for Christmas. I read her a bedtime story every night while I tuck her into bed. Mine is when my ex had testicular cancer and they removed his right one and then we broke up and he was staying with friends and through some crazy chain of events he wound up calling me and asking if he could keep his right nut in a cooler in my fridge for a week because his male roommate was afraid if he ate food from the same fridge it would turn him gay or something. It needs to be perfect, any suggestions? After only a few moments the red door that seems to so big compared to the little kids that squeeze through it opened just wide enough for the kindergartener to climb through. Every time it opened, it was another kid’s turn to get their backpack and lunch box with as few distractions as possible. The kids ran out to get their bags. Some were overwhelmingly sparkly with Barbie, others are batman, and my favorite one was lime green with a big pink daisy climbing up the front. One little boy had a cubby stuffed with a cars backpack, a cars blanket, and a cars lunch box. The twins had matching backpacks, one with pink stripes and the other with blue stripes. The little boy with the light up sketchers walked distractedly out of the red door and quietly got his bag, then watched another teacher in a different room read a page or two of “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”. The boy then scooped his red bag up and his green lunch box clutched tightly in his fist and struggled back through the big red door into his own class. The smells of play dough flowed from the purple door, giggles could be heard from the green door, and “vroom vroom” noises of boys playing with cars came out of the red door. In the room with the yellow door, the teacher was taking role to make sure every little kid made it back from recess. The next door opened but this time it’s the green one, the kids rushed out in a little clump to collect the remaining backpacks from the circle of cubbies. Okay so in the beginning of the school year (Not to sound racist) all the black girls didnt like me (I'm black, white, and peurto rican). They used to yell at me saying "Is your hair fake? No black girls hair is that long. Its a weave isn't it? Your fake. Stupid walking barbie. You wouldnt be pretty if you werent mixed with white and peurto rican" But I wouldnt say anything because your gunna have haters wherever you go, right? Well lasnight Zahnte and my boyfriend Tavari (Tavari is half black and mexican. Why does he have a wierd name? Idkk. lols. he has curly cute hair so I call him curly :]) had a birthday party. Zahnte turned 15 and Tavari turned 14. (I'm 14, 8th grade by the way). I didn't know those black girls were invited, but we came to get along since the beginning of the year, so I thought everything was fine. Me, Nessa, Stephy, And Selena all went to the party together. Me Nessa and Stephyy are bestfriends, I barely met Selena yesterday. They were all wearing short shorts but I wore pants (I know how to be sexy without showing skin). I knew the black girls didn't like Stephyy, and Stephyy didn't like them (Long story. in the beginning of the year me nessa and stephyy went to the mall and took pictures but they took one from one of our friends and rippied up stephyys half and thru it in her face) BUT Stephyy didnt have any problem with me talking to them and they didnt have any problems with me takling to her. I like to be nice to everyone, so they really have no reason to dis-like me (I keep my thoughts in my head, where they belong.). So Stephyy walked to the park with Juaquin and Nick, Tavari was waiting for us but me and Nessa stayed cuz we were dancing. Then The two Black girls (The other 4 didnt come to the party) came up to me and Nessa and said "Is it true Stephanie is going to fight us on monday?" I was like "I dont know we don't takl about you guys. I'll ask her if you would like me to" So then me and nessa went to the park and when we got there stephhy nick and juaquin were gone and tavari was alone. I went up to him and asked where stephyy was and he said she walked back to the party. I wanted to know why he was alone and he said he wanted to b . (That was wierd he usually always wants top be with me and ALWAYS tells me whats wrong. besides it was pitch black outside...) On our way walking to the party we ran into stephyy and i asked her if its true she was fighting them on monday she was like "No but their saying your talking smack about me and stuff" (I would NEVER talk about stephyy or nessa. their my life!) So i walked to the party and they came up to me screaming in my face (I couldnt really understand as they were screaming at the same time) All I heard was "Yuo need to keep your mouth shut" and they walked away. But they were all in my face. Then when stephyy got back to the party they came up to me again and at first it was calm cuz iesha was the one talking to me and she was all "Do you or do you not talk about steph" I was all "No. I never even talk to you. and she KNOWS for a FACT I would never talk bad about her" She was like "Do you wanna re-think that?" I was all "No cuz I would remember if I said anything" Then Doenisha comes and just starts screaming her head off until Zahntes dad came and told them to cool it. The last thing she said was all "All six of us will take care of you on monday" So I was emberrassed infront of over half the 7 and 8 grade so I texted my mom and had her pick me up. I was crying because they been tortchuring me all year (They bully the hell outta me) and it just got to the piont to where i broke down. My moms going to the office on monday and with drawing me from school and having them pulled into the office and my lawyer will be there too. I dont feel comfortable doing this so the school, the security gaurds, and my lawyer will talk to them while i sit in a different room. But I dont know what to do Im tired of them bullying me and I always cry (My therepy says that this teen bullying is causing me an eating dissorder. I never eat anymore..) I'm a really good kid thouh im nice to everyone I pay attention in school (I have to I wanna be a doctor) I had a basketball playing boyfriend ima cheerleader (Im new to cheering though) And I have great friends. everybody likes us but those black girls. and im not going to school monday until my mom and my lawyer go. I wont be back in school until january so i could re-cover and try to start eating and stuff again (Im not scary skinny. I'm 5'6 and weigh 128) But my weights droping rapidly but I cant eat because all this drama is like mesing with my nervous system and every time i think of food i feel as if ima puke and every time i have a plate infront of me i cry because i cant bring myself to eat. my mom is going to pay for [rivate schooling AGAIN (This was my first year in a public school. BIG mistake, but I wanted to go). I dont want to sound like a coward but I have no idea what to do., I did absol I did absolutely nothing to these girls. what would you do if you were me?

Ok...so my cousin just turned 17. She is my best friend and I seriously love her,she is much more like a sister to me..haha....we talk about everything. I'm happy to have her as a cousin or to have her in my life at all. I am 15 years old. I feel like everybody treats me like a little kid. Everybody in my family is older than me of course, like my brother is 24,my other brother is 21. My cousin is 17 of course,and I am only 15. I look allot older than my age....so I attract people that are older than me,so all my friends are allot older than me. Like my ex was 16,(but we never had sex so don't go there with me) and I think I am much more mature than other kids my age. I am looking into my future,what college am I gonna go to,where I am going to live,how I am going to get by with life....I mean that is all not to far away(seeing as I gradute when I turn 17! :D ) But the only problem is that everybody treats me like a little kid. The only one person in the world who doesn't treat me like a kid is my cousin...my brothers use to treat me like a person...untill they actually moved out of my parents house. Now I am their baby sister....and thats it. So the point of me asking this is....why? I am also afraid that my cousin is gonna grow up and then start to treat me like a kid which I really,really don't want,I mean it happened with my brothers...so how can it not happen with her? So just...why do they still treat me like a kid? I have proved to them lots of times that I am much more mature than they think I am...but they still treat me like a little kid. Resolved Question: Is make-up worth it to wear?
Almost every day, both of my sisters and my sister's friend go to school with make-up on. I think my sisters just go with eye-makeup, but her friend shows up caked like a mass-produced barbie doll. I have really nice skin, except for the random pimple that might pop up at any point and time, so I have no need for face make-up, but I've begged my mom to let me use mascara, eye-liner, or eye-shadow. I know the pictures are photo-shopped, but models and celebrities annoy me with their "beauty", and it's usually their eyes that captivate me. Anyways, my mom won't let me use any of these things but mascara. My sister wasn't allowed to either until she began to sneak it, and when my mom found out, she had been wearing it everyday, so there wasn't any point in taking it away. I could do the same thing...but is it really worth it? My friend says I don't look good with eye-liner, when I wore it on Halloween. Any ideas?

This is my fourth Christmas with Nick. Christmas is suppose to be a joyous time of year. It is about celebrating Christ's birth, and holding our love ones dear. It is so easy for me to get wrapped up in the world's view of Christmas. I think of all of the things my friends may be doing for Christmas. Buying gifts, traveling, and dining in the most expensive places. Yes I do want all of those things, yet they are hard to have when we don't have much money. I know I would feel much worse if I didn't have Nick in my life. I just wish I could give him everything and more this Christmas. I can't lie either, I want things for myself too. I dream about one Christmas getting a beautiful diamond engagement ring, and Nick proposing to me. I shouldn't need to fantasize about some picture in my mind that may never happen. I think I just have the holiday blues or something. I remember a much simpler place and time when I was a little girl in Michigan. I loved Christmas Eve get together's at my mother's Aunt Rose's house. All of the people I loved in one place. I could receive all the attention I wanted, and get a few small gifts like a Barbie, a nice sweater, or blouse. I was so happy to just receive something as simple as that. I don't feel it takes a lot to make me happy at times, but I know I can be pretty high maintenance at times. Some of this was already posted in a previous question of mine but anyways, here's what I have so far. There are paragraphs but Y!A doesn't like me enought to let me do them. What can I do to make what I have better? --- The crisp autumn breeze tugged at my skirt, beckoning it to follow. Overhead a flock of birds were flying south, which I found odd since it was only September. The sun was falling back against the pink sky and I could see the rippling blue ocean going in, and out. In, and out. “Well maybe you should get a job!” A screeching voice interrupted my moment of calm. “Maybe you should go to yours, for a change!” I heard a door slam, then stomping on porch steps, and finally a car speeding off. These are my parents, Joel and Karen. They keep a roof over my head, but I often wonder if they even remember that I’m here. When they aren’t drinking they’re fighting, and when they aren’t fighting they’re drinking. I try to get out of the house as much as I can. I often come to the park across the road and enjoy the view and the serenity of it all. As I turned to head back to the house to take care of my mother, particles of dirt sprinkled my eyes from the dust clouds left by the car. The steps groaned and creaked as I stepped on them, then headed into the house. Our house isn’t much. It’s light brown on the outside, with a screen door and a heavy door behind that. On the inside the kitchen has a black-and-white tiling pattern on the floor, but it’s always so dirty that you could barely tell. I can barely remember what color the countertops are since they’re always cluttered with random objects. There’s a table pressed against the window on a far wall but I have no recollection of ever using it. The cabinets that line the walls are a light brown color, and their contents are various dishes and rags. The sink is always full of rotting dishes and the trashcan would be overflowing if we actually used it. That’s where I was, in the kitchen. Mom was at the sink, attempting the dishes. I would take off my shoes in the house but there’s more dirt on the kitchen floor that there is on my shoes so I don’t bother. She doesn’t really see me; it’s like I’m a ghost to her. I walk past her into the narrow hallway with various school pictures of me from kindergarten until two years ago hanging on the walls. There are also a few holes in the wall from Dad’s drunken fights and rants with Mom. My door hinges squeak as I enter my room, which I try to keep tidy. My bed is a lumpy mattress on the floor with an old blanket covering it. I have two pillows, one that used to be my dad’s and has random stains all over, and the other is a Barbie one that I’ve had since I was little. The carpet covers most of the floor, except for near the window where it’s just the foundation of the house. There’s not much to say about the carpet, I guess. It’s white but older than I am, and is currently an indistinguishable color. The closet that’s about three feet from the foot of my bed is scarce, with just barely enough clothes to get me through a week. The ceiling light broke when I was seven and never got fixed, so I rely on a small lamp I keep on the floor next to my bed. As you may have guessed, my family does not have the wealth that is so envied and longed for. We are a modest family in a modest home. My mother works long hours but doesn't complain. She is a bartender and has to put up with the abusive drunks at work. And coming home... well, that is yet another story. I sat down on my bed and grabbed my book and read for a while. There isn’t really anything else to do in the house. After a few hours Dad had come home, drunk and slurring and picking fights with Mom. I tried to drown it out by sinking deeper into the storyline of my book. Around midnight snoring was audible from the living room. I could hear Mom’s deep breathing coming from the bedroom and I knew that they were both asleep. Then I heard three light taps on the window. It was my boyfriend Bradley. I have known him since we were kids. He was my best friend and once again, my rescuer. The three light taps is our code. The sweetest sound of taps seems to bring a sense of security that I would never have known otherwise. I stood up and opened up the window. He smiled when he saw me. “Bradley,” I said, smiling. He reached through the window and hugged me, then helped me out of the window. I shut it carefully behind me, making sure that I had remembered to turn the light off. He held my hand after we’d taken a few steps, his fingers interlacing with mine. It’s times like these that I’m almost positively sure that we have gaps in between our fingers just for holding hands. We walked to the park and sat down on the grass, which had miniscule drops of dew beginning to form on it. We sat on our knees, leaning against each other. He turned to look at me, and then moved my head slightly so he could kiss me. “Mom and Dad were fi Oh, it got cut off. “Mom and Dad were fighting again today,” I told him after we’d spent awhile in silence, “I don’t know how much longer I can stay here. Dad hit me last week while in a drunken stupor. I want to go somewhere else.” “Harper, I want to help you.” “I want you to take me far away from here. I want to go so far away that they never even think about me again.” I realized after saying that that they already don’t think of me. Bradley held me close to him, and we layed down on the grass. I woke up the next morning still in Bradley’s arms. The grass had collected more dew and there were birds chirping in the distance. Bradley woke up at about the same time as I did, then looked over at me and smiled

I have to start a new job tomorrow and never really left my child with a sitter. or children. My daughter is four the sitter seems very nice the house feels like a good home. She is a preachers daughter etc...a mom also. The sitter looks like Barbie....not kidding she has won the pagents and just looks like a model. I feel like she is a good person. When i met her i thought oh my goodness im not sure if i want this girl to meet my husband she looks to picture perfect. This may be something silly to worry about, but it bothers me all the time. Yesterday I was at the school counselor's office to talk about my classes next year and they had pictures of me from when I was in grade school. I saw my 8th grade picture and I hate just looking at it. I went through a really weird phase and I feel soooo stupid for it! Here's what happened: It was summer and less than a month till 8th grade would start. I was excited cuz I was going to visit my cousin in Indiana for a week, and we don't get to see each other that often, especially for a full week. Well, while we were there I guess I just picked up on a lot of things from my cousin. I played with Barbie dolls (I know, it's stupid, but it's true). She's about 6 years older than me. Now before I went there I already liked barbies (I don't anymore and havent for quite a while. I'm 15 years old and a sophomore in high school now). While I was there I got into a lot of bad habits, like staying up till 6 am and waking up at 1 in the afternoon. I didn't eat breakfast and sometimes, lots of times actually, I slept in my clothes. I got into watching horror movies all the time and adult swim(still like those, but a lot less than I used to). I know, barbies and horror movies sounds like a weird combination, but my cousin made hers vampires, and I also picked up on that. When I got back I wasn't totally changed cuz I liked those things before, but I got a little too into them. I didn't like pink at all and I preferred to wear black as much as I could. By the time school came I was the same but I'm pretty sure I didn't wear black everyday. I never wore makeup but I used to before then. I didn't like dressing up and on the weekends I stayed up just as late as I did when I was with my cousin. Here's how the school picture looked: I was barely smiling, my eyebrows were really thick since I hadn't tweezed them yet, my hair looked dirty and messy, and I was wearing a black sweater with a white tee shirt underneath. I only had one friend and she was busy all the time. Now I'm a lot different. I wear makeup and like pink. I like dressing up now and I care about how I look a lot more than I used to. But just seeing that picture really bothers me. One of the reasons in my boyfriend's cousin was in my class and she's stuck up. I'm really afraid what my boyfriend would think if he saw that. I don't think anyone would guess I used to be like that. Now I'm not popular but I do have more good friends. I still get picked on but it doesn't matter to me anymore cuz of the friends I have. I know I shouldn't worry about the picture, but I think about it all the time and it bothers me. What would other people think if they saw that??? I feel so stupid for the way I used to be! And I'm seeing my cousin for Thanksgiving on Thursday, so what would she think about me, AND about me having a boyfriend? What if she thinks I'm stuck up??? Is this something silly to worry about?
