My bedroom is not quite that big. I have a queen sized bed, bedroom set and small computer desk in my room. I have a tall entertainment center that is not used for our TV anymore because it is not designed our 42 in flat screen. I keep the entertainment center for our very large DVD collection. I want to get rid of the entertainment center but where would I put our DVD's? Keep in mind that I do not wish for them to be out of their boxes. Some people take them out and only have the DVD not the cases. That is not an option for me! Any suggestions on what I can replace the ETC with? I also have a 3yr old so it must be sturdy and safe for him as well.

I am moving into a new apartment and need some assistance in picking colors for my living room / dining room (extension from living room that will be made into a bar) and hallway which connects to the living room.
The living room consists of mostly black furniture; black leather sofa, love seat, and chair, a black frame big screen tv, Black coffee table with silver legs, black side tables with silver legs, 2 lamps with some silver in the frame. A silver color entertainment center. The carpet color is dark beige. The extension (which I want to make into a little bar) has a oak wooden floor and I have a bar set that is black in color. I want the living room to have a modern look. I was also thinking about making 3 walls one color, and the wall that you see when you walk into the apartment to be of a diffarant color, perhaps the same color as the hallway? We have a big screen tv. We have it sitting on top of the tv stand that it came with. Its only 2 shelves so its short, but its really long and open. No doors, etc. The shelves are glass. On it is our cable things, dvds, playstation, stereo...all that. Of course its what our 7 month old loves to get into the most. Our house is small so theres not much room. Is there anything we can buy to surround just the tv stand so he cant even get to it? Or any ideas on how to baby proof that? (the tv cant just sit on the floor, its a flat screen) Thank you :)
Resolved Question: why does my xbox360 overheat so easily?
My xbox 360 sits in a small square entertainment center, The tv on top of the center. My xbox overheats after 2 hours of playing, like i turn it off then try to turn it back on and get rrod, my friend keeps his on top of his big screen and it don't overheat at all, he can turnit back on right after turning it off, does my overheating have anything to do with the fact it's in the small space of my entertainment center that air does'nt get around as much? Also does overheating scratch disk?
so if i put it on top of my tv it shouldn't over heat as much, this enertainment center is a small box, the tvs on top of it

I KNOW THIS IS LONG, BUT IT IS WORTH IT PLEASE PLEASE READ!!! give me a sec to get it all pasted here
I have an ex I started dating when I was 16, we were together for 3 yrs.... Relationship was great at first
until we moved in together, then he wanted me to be his slave house wife or something, so we broke up about a year
ago, acctually sept 23 2006 is when we split up, but still lived together until the middle of March, We had separate
rooms and such, and i didn't want to live with him after we split up but he wouldnt move out, and I couldn't because
I had no where to go and it was my house anyways, So i finally drove him out in March, well he took everything we
owned, even stuff that I owned before I met or even moved in with him.... Movie Projector, Big Screen, My Journal,
Dishes, Furniture, 3 Computers, I was left with my laptop, a couch, an extra entertainment center and a crappy like
27 inch tv, he said I could keep he wasnt gona take it cuz he didnt want
want them, pft, but anyways... I met this guy
when i was still living with my ex, I didnt start dating the guy until my ex was moved out completely, and never
had the guy over until I was sure of that i still respected him and didnt want my new guy in that situation
and it would have been wrong to do to my ex regardless of how he treated me it just wasnt right.....But the guy I
had met, him and I have been together well "dated" since
We met, but we are very happy together we wanna spend our lives together, tho nothing official yet because we both
know it is still early in our relationship, so anyways my EX has been out of the picture since he moved.... besides
ripping my mom off like 700 bucks, me like 300, and my landlord 200, tho i just let all of that go cuz I didnt
want anything to do with him.. so ironically enough... this year, on the 23rd I was at work, at a new job, and a
lady I work with wanted to hear my now boyfriends music, because he is a musician, so i took in a cd, and
other things because he wants them now, even tho they are mine, we agreed
that I kept them, well he said I could... i didnt fight him taking anything when he did, because I just wanted him
out, tho now I wish I did.... But we have been split up almost a year now... I havent seen him or really talked to
him in like 7 months, i did send him an email about him paying mom what he owed her but that was it...so after 7 months almost or more
of not seeing each other at all, or barely speaking, he suddenly wants to come back and try and take my tv and stuff... tho as i said isnt
his... and he also got a like 20k settlement check sept 1, so its not like he needs a tv cuz he cant afford one plus he took our bigscreen
that we had.... so i'm just confused and frusterated and stressed as to why, after SO long... he is trying to take my stuff, after he took so much
from me already... My boyfriend I have now and I are very very happy, and my ex knows this i guess cause he asked a mutual friend about
about my boyfriend and I, plus Good ole myspace, tho I deleted my ex off my list... but I just dont want drama, and its just a tv and stupid
materialistic stuff, but i just have this feeling its more than just this tv, if i give in and just give it to him tho there is
no reason for me to cuz it isnt his there is no reason or reasonable reason for him to have nor want it... I think he would find
something else to piss me off or bother me about, but why after so long... why now... after we have been split up for over a year
I have completely 100% moved on, I dont get it... please any opinions at all would be nice! I'm just so stressed, and as i said
he has anger issues and i told his mom lastnight that he can take it up with me, he isnt getting any of my stuff cuz there is
no reason for him to have anything of mine... so that is going to really piss him off, so i'm worried that he is going to come
over here and try to get into my house, so i think I may call into work tomorrow just to
watch my house and my car, cuz who
knows what he might do, and also do you think this may be a reasonable thing to call in for?? I just dont want him vandalizing
my car or house or trying to break in.....help!!
SORRY YEAH I MISSED A PARAGRAPH THINGY IN THIS.... IF YOU GUYS CAN IF YOU ARE WILLING TO VOICE YOUR OPINIONS AND SUCH IF YOU COULD LEAVE YOUR EMAIL AND I CAN EMAIL YOU WHAT EXACTLY IT IS THAT I AM SAYING AND ASKING FOR AND I CAN EMAIL AND MAYBE YOU CAN REPLY WITH WAHT YOU THINK, THAT WOULD BE EASIER I THINK..... by the way the reason i didnt pursue anything legal and let the money issue go and let all the material things go was because i just didnt want to deal with it i just wanted him out and i did what it took to get him to go, regardless of the loss of money or those material things, the loss was worth getting him out of my life for good, pft or so i thought. just leave your email addy ad i'll send ya what it is
i havent been talking to him, its just suddenly after all this time he is trying to do whatever it is he is doing, I cant get a restraining order because by law technically "he hasnt done anything severe enough" to cause a restraining order
He bought the Tv, he had it before we moved in together, but the deal was... is that he left the tv, and I let him take MY movie projector, because well he took it apart in pieces anyways so i wouldnt be able to use it cuz he knew i would give it up if it was like that, so since he got the projector, i got the Television, and he also got our bigscreen we got together... whats stupid tho is that the tv is just an old 27 inch phillips magnavox and the power button is pushed in and stuck so u gotta unpplug the damn thing to turn it off, so why would he want it when he has the big screen and the projector, and why after almost a year?

boyfriends music was blaring on the radio as if it was on an acctual radio
station, ( my ex never liked my current boyfriends music, i heard my boyfriends music long before I met him, i
heard it when I was still with my ex and i listened to it repeatidly so my ex knows it well ) so my ex was also
a musician, tho a terrible one... So my boyfriend and i were talking and its just ironic that that day a year ago
we split up, a year later run into each other and my boyfriends music is on the radio... we take it as it was God's
way of giving my ex a well deserved slap in the face.... which i felt he deserved, by God... for ripping me off and
he was also very mentally, verbally, and sorta physically abusive.... what do you think?? just coincedence... or
the work of God?
Resolved Question: Big Screen TV...?
I have issues with my big screen TV. I hate it. LOL! It is the biggest thing in the world even though it's not bulky. [60in flat screen]
It seems that no matter what entertainment center it's on [I just made a new one] that our whole living room is overwelmed by it.
I hate big screens but my husband really wanted one so we ended up getting a bigger one a while back.
Any suggestions on how to take the focus from the TV to the homey feel we used to have? Thanks!

The Tv is 52" and the space around is about 3 feet on each side, 3-4 feet to the ceiling. We have shelving underneath the tv for dvd player, xbox. Just blank empty walls.
Resolved Question: Best ideas for High-End Computer Entertainment / Media Center / Gaming room.?
FACTS:
* I'm a big fan of having lots of screen 'real-estate'.
* I have pretty much always used dual-monitor display. (especially with small-ish laptops)
* Although this sounds like a wonderful over-the-top question, and yes, I will be making a sizable investment, I DO have a budget and would like to get the most bang for the buck in all ways.
QUESTION: What is the best (most preferable in terms of standard/quality (DLP, Plasma, LCD, TFT-LCD, etc) SETUP I can achieve?
A large single-screen for computer (37" say) and a separate TV (for gaming/DVD's/ocassional computer use with wireless keyboard/mouse)
OR
TWO OR FOUR 19" LCD's with a PLASMA/LCD/DLP Projection TV
OR
Projector
OR
Things I haven't yet thought of?
Suggestions? I'd like to have the highest quality computer display and the ability to share it with my tv? What are the pros and cons in doing this?
