I bought a 08 Scion TC in Feb. My wife is now pregnant and we need a bigger vehicle. I financed my Scion through a bank and I owe them about 18,000. We cannot afford to keep the Scion and finance another vehicle. If I trade the Scion in I doubt I will get what I need to pay off the loan I have through the bank.

Open Question: Is a rice and tuna diet harmful?
I am about to go on a rice and tuna diet. It is a diet that is 100% inspired by finances. I was wondering if this will be harmful. It will last a month or 2. I do have enough multivitamins to last until I get back on my feet. I do have some frozen grilled chicken left that i will eat sparingly as well as some canned mandarin oranges and ramen noodles. Is this going to be too unhealthy? I do want to lose weight but through a new exercise routine i have started. Will this diet hinder that? ( have over 60lbs to lose)

I'm 21 and I want to go back next March to visit family in Tulsa. I'm a UK citizen and last time I went (March 2008) my passport said I could stay for 90 days which is how long I want to stay for, but will have to quit my job. SO, If I tell customs that I want to stay for 90 days, and I say i am unemployed will they turn me away or ask to see proof of finances? First off I want to say having worked in a congressional office I know first hand what it takes to be a congressmember with that said let me lay this out clearly.
A senator's role is not just voting, yes Obama has voted in the senate for 143 days, but to be a great Senator, one must also have a life outside of the senate chamber. These commentators exclude the fact that he worked 5 days a week; drafting bills, meeting with constituents, meeting with lobbyist (yes their are some who are good), meeting with CRS (Congressional Research Service), meeting with foreign dignataries.
Obama has foreign experience, just because he went to Europe for a week and established good relations with every leader he met. Has Bush done that in his eight years in presidency? Senator Obama went to Berlin and inspired hundreds of thousands, TWO HUNDRED THOUSAND people heard him speak, in a tremendous speech.
Now lets see McCain go to Berlin can he be that inspiring. Can he be that loved? Yes he has more ticks on his clock in the Senate. But, what has he actually done? McCain speaks of his changing American policy. Hasn't he had a chance for the past twenty years? What has he done? Has he solved the energy crisis? Congress has been talking about getting off oil for the past thirty years, has McCain done anything?
So I would rather take a candidate who has voted on the Senate floor and has atleast a sticker on his belt, then a candidates who has absolutaly done NOTHING! Wow the McCain campaign finance bill...who cares!

Open Question: Is this too much to ask in a BF (for guys pls)?
I am 27 years old and I am easy going. I only require these things in a boyfriend but im starting to wonder if it's unrealistic. I never thought it was but I need some opinions. I guess I really want to know if any of you guys fill this criteria:
1. Please don't hunt. I think it's cruel and so NOT a sport
2. I like where I live and don't want to be forced to move because of a job opportunity
3. Im not really into having children. I like to pick up and go without having to worry about kids and the responsibilities. I don't want to worry about college funds, cars at 16 or the hottest new video game. I want to have a career and make money for me and my boyfriend/husband to enjoy without the problems of children and finances.
4. I am open to marriage but in no way in any hurry. I don't really see much point in marriage. If you love someone you love them, you don't need rings or papers to prove that.
I never ask where my boyfriend is or what time he is going to be home. He loves to play golf and does it about 3-5 times a week with the guys. Im perfectly fine with this. We party all the time and have a great group of mutual friends. We enjoy strip clubs together, the sex life is great. I trust him so to me it doesn't matter what he does or if he wants to stay out with the guys late.
I guess the problem is: he wants kids and marriage and I don't.
I am a bad girfriend??? Am I not normal?? Most girls would kill to have a guy like mine that wants those things. He is a great guy!!

Open Question: Why is my fiance calling off everything?!?!?
I recently wrote a question regarding our sex life and why it had dropped off so suddenly and I got a great amount of feedback on it. But now out of no where my finance is calling everything off. This all started a few days ago, we are both young and we fell for each other pretty quickly. The other we sat down and she told me that she didn't know what she wanted to do about us. We discussed it and came to the conclusion we would still live together and that we would still stay engaged and work on our communication issues and make this work. Last night she wanted to go out with her friends which she really hadn't been doing lately. So she went out and never came home. I woke up around 2:30 calling and texting trying to figure out where she was with no response. I was worried sick I called local hospitals and police offices to make sure she wasn't in jail or in the hospital. Finally around 4:45 I got a text from here phone from her friend saying that she was asleep on her couch. I thanked her for letting me know she was ok and tried to go back to sleep and figured we would deal with this today. I was unable to get ahold of her most of the morning and finally she called around 10:15 and we talked briefly and I asked her what had happened and she stuck with the same story the friend had told me. I asked her if she still wanted to be with me and she said I don't know. I then said if she would like I would move out and I really got no response. I then told her I would have everything out by Sunday if thats what she truly wanted and she said ok, we then discussed some of the finances about the ring etc. I asked her if she would be home when I got there and she said yes and I told her we could talk more then. I said I love you and got no response and I said it again and she said I know. What the heck should I do when I get home? What should I say? Please help!

Ok, I went to a dealership to purchase a vehicle back in July. Up to this date the vehicle has not been financed with a bank. Which I thought dealerships allowed you to take vehicles home once they were financed. Well, we signed a contract that showed how much payments will be and when they are due at the dealership and it even has a banks name on there. Well days later they call me that the bank didn't finance the vehicle after all, so they found another bank. I had to do an over the phone interview with them after the interview they said ok your payments are due on such and such date and the amount of the payment nothing had changed from the terms that I signed for on the contract. Well it turns out to be that this bank didn't end up financing me either. Now the dealership wants me to go to the dealership because they supposedly found a bank, but the terms have changed. This has been going on for a month and half and I have had IT!!! I regret going to this dealership, can I just take this vehicle back and say I don't want it!! Will I be able to get my down and trade in back?? After all I signed the contract under the impression that the car had been financed with bank and at the terms I had agreed, with this being said can I just say forget. I assume I would have to sign a new contract to agree with terms. Which I don't want to sign anything all I want is my down and trade in back. I live in Texas, if that would help!!

Resolved Question: Having separate finances, weird ?
My husband and I have always had separate finances. We dont share a checking account or savings account, we each have our own. He pays all the household bills, I take care of buying grocery's and other house essentials. I dont keep track of what he spends, he doesn't keep track of what I spend. We are not having any financial problems, and it works for us. However, my mother thinks this is the strangest thing she has ever heard. Open Question: What is the best approach for paying back my student loans?
I have about 32,000.00 (USD) is student loans. That is the total but it comes from the sum of about 8 different small loans. I've heard a lot about consolidation but does anyone know if that is the best option or the only option? I definitely can't afford to pay them all simultaneously because I'm only making 32,000.00 right now. Can i finance a low monthly payment over a long time and then pay as much off the principal as I can afford each month? I'm worried if I do that the loan company will see that I have extra money and raise the monthly payment.
