Cast Members Returning For 30th ‘Dallas’ Reunion
DALLAS - J.R., Bobby, Sue Ellen and other members of the Ewing clan are getting back together for a "Dallas" reunion party.
Cast members of the popular prime-time soap opera that ran from 1978-91 will return to the Southfork Ranch north of Dallas on Nov. 8 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the show. Several key actors, including Larry Hagman, Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, have confirmed they will attend.
Hagman, who played central character J.R. Ewing, a scheming oil baron and cattle rancher, said he is looking forward to the event.
"I may not be able to do the 40th," said Hagman, 76, in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. "Thirty years is pretty good, and the show is still very popular."
The reunion at the ranch in suburban Parker, north of Dallas, is open to the public. Tickets go on sale Aug. 22 and will cost between $100 and $1,000. The event will include fireworks, a country music concert, a question-and-answer session with the cast and tours of the mansion.
The show is perhaps best known for the "who shot J.R.?" cliffhanger that concluded the 1979-1980 season in which Hagman's character was blasted within an inch of his life. (The shooter turned out to be J.R. Ewing's sister-in-law, Kristin.)
"Dallas" featured the antics of a wealthy Texas clan that punched, slapped, drank, cavorted and schemed to gain control of the family fortune. The reunion promises to be tamer.
"Larry and I will have a bowl of Mueslix and a small shot of prune juice and be in bed by 9 o'clock," Duffy, who played Bobby Ewing, told the newspaper. "We'll let people file by the bed and watch us go to sleep. I think we can hang with the best of them until midnight."

I can't get a Demonoid invitation so I've given up and will just use something else. I mainly want movies, some tv shows, and maybe computer games as well. I need a site that I'll be able to get stuff that's not new (I know a lot of times people stop sharing stuff once it gets old and it can be difficult to find). Music would just be a bonus, as I have Limewire for that. they used to give 4 stars to REALLY good albums..but since they gave it to the jonas brothers' album proves how condescending rolling stone is now just for the sake of pleasing the mainstream fans. I never liked their music,i thought it was crappy. But when i saw rolling stone giving 4 stars to the album,i forced myself to give it a listen. But it wasn't as good as rolling stone said it out to be..simply overrated. Same teen music as before. And their voices are a major turnoff. squeaky as heck.

Okay, so I'm half black and half native american. I have japanese bloodlines.
I listen to a lot of music...mainly gospel, R&B, native american, and Asian pop music.
I listen to K-Pop (Korean pop music), and I often have to listen to songs over and over again to pronounce the words correctly.
However, when I listen to J-Pop (Japanese pop music), I can look @ the lyrics and sing along with the person almost perfectly.
For statistics, I can generally pronounce 30% of Korean words correctly the first time, and for Japanese words, generally >75% correct the first time.
Is blood memory a whacked theory? Can these occurrences be attributed to more meritable explanations? I really don't think it's a coincidence.

Ugh!! I wish I knew why they have ZERO continuous music video channels! Both Dish and DirecTV do not have any music video channels, except for BET J (Jazz) and VH1 Classic. I'm not going to cancel Direct just because of these 3 channels, but I really would like for them to add these video networks. It seems to have come to my attention that they don't want to add these channels because they're "too Black." Yes, these channels have mostly Black people in their music videos. MTV Jams is hip-hop, MTV Hits is R&B and some hip-hop and VH1 Soul is a mix of old-school and R&B and maybe minimal rap music. My sister has digital cable and all 3 are there, even VH1 Classic. Hell, we'll probably see CMT Pure Country before we see any of the 3 networks I want. Direct is cheaper than cable, but you know, I would like the music videos, yes. LOS ANGELES (AP) - Barack Obama didn't attend the BET Awards, but that didn't stop attendees from talking about him.
"If we all register and vote, we will have the first black president in the history of America," Sean "Diddy" Combs told the crowd Tuesday at the Shrine Auditorium before chanting "Obama or Die" - a declarative remix of his neutral "Vote or Die" motto from the 2004 presidential election, when he attempted to boost the youth vote.
Obama, the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee, was just a few blocks away at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion for a fundraiser with a Hollywood guest list that included supermodels Heidi Klum and Cindy Crawford, boxing legend Sugar Ray Leonard and movie stars Samuel L. Jackson and John Malkovich. While Obama didn't make an appearance at the BET Awards - either live or on tape - his presence was felt.
As she picked up her award for best female R&B artist, Alicia Keys told the crowd that it's time for black people to erase the word "can't" from their vocabulary.

"Together we can do anything," she said, playing on the Democrat's "Yes We Can" mantra before shouting: "Obama y'all!"
The presumptive Republican presidential nominee, John McCain, failed to merit a shoutout by any of the BET presenters or performers.
"For the first time in history, we have the opportunity for somebody who's not in the good ol' boy network to get into office," rapper David Banner told reporters backstage. "People talk about his lack of experience, but there's people with much more experience who haven't done such a good job."
Stephen Hill, executive vice president of entertainment and music programming at BET, said there was talk of having Obama attend the BET Awards but it didn't work out.
"We would've loved it if he would've stopped by," said Hill.
During his monologue, host D.L. Hughley cracked jokes about Obama. Other attendees were more flattering. Backstage, Humanitarian Award winner Quincy Jones said he wanted Obama to be elected and create a Secretary of Culture position. Actress Nia Long beamed about possible first lady Michelle Obama.
"Michelle is graceful, beautiful and not afraid to be exactly who she is," Long said backstage. "It's wonderful to see their love in the midst of all the political madness. They have something we should all be proud of. She's smart. She's educated. And she's fearless. I'd love to have tea with her one day."
One attendee used fashion to show her support for Obama. Actress-comedian Kym Whitley, who revealed she'll be appearing in a small role in the upcoming "Transformers" sequel, donned a tight purple shirt that read 'Barack Obama 08' in glittery black letters
"I don't know him, and he doesn't know me," she said. "But we're gonna make eye contact one day."
Longtime Obama supporter John Legend affirmed the importance of voting in the upcoming election: "I'll be working to make sure people get out to vote this fall."

Resolved Question: Regarding R. Kelly and his acquittal...?
I just want to say that I have seen the tape many times and though there is a strong resemblance with R. and the man on the tape, I don't think it is him (look at the nose in particular). Initially, I DID think it was him. I support him and his wonderful music (his gospel album, "U Saved Me", got me through MANY hard times especially the military). Anyway, I just want to ask why do people who believe R. Kelly is guilty insist that he only got away because the alleged victim is African-American? I keep hearing that if the alleged victim were a "little white girl", that R. Kelly not only would have gone to jail but "under the jail." Wasn't Nicole Brown(?)-Smith, O.J. Simpson's wife, a beautiful, blonde Caucasian woman of status? Regardless if someone believes O.J. killed her or not, he was an African-American male and she was a gorgeous Caucasian female and O.J. walked when we all know that if "they" wanted him, they could have had him. Same w/ R. So why do ppl think R. Kelly "got away"?
To the first answerer, didn't mean to give you a thumbs down. I just didn't know how to answer my own question and thought that would let me. Anyway, that's what I don't understand: O.J. allegedly MURDERED a beautiful Caucasian woman and walked! R. Kelly allegedly urinated on a THIRTEEN YEAR OLD girl, did NOT have Johnny Cochran and very much resembled the man in the sex tape. If "the man" wanted, he could have EASILY made an example out of R. Kelly, even more so O.J. As far as the kidnappings, murder, etc. that you mentioned, there is a LOT of truth to that. One of those big-time newspapers (New York Times, etc.; can't remember) did a cover story on it a while back. They talked about how when a kidnapping, rape, murder, etc. happens to a "white girl", such as the "Aruba girl" (don't know her name off top), it is all over various media outlets. But when it involves a "black girl", you don't even hear a mention of it. Now that is a shame.
Again to "Lady A", I did NOT mean to give you a thumbs down. I disagreed with parts of your response and thought after I clicked the thumbs down, it would let me say why. It seems that my rebuttal was a tad bit late as I apologized. Hopefully you see the previous respose as well as this one. I agree with a lot of things you said and I DID NOT mean to give you a bad rating.
I hope I don't make any of the R. Kelly naysayers angry when I say this, but regardless of whether or not you think he is guilty or not, at least he is useful. He makes good music (as well as, at times, VERY POSITIVE music; "I Believe I Can Fly" is STILL being sung/listened to even today) that most EVERYONE enjoys. Same with Michael Jackson, who I believe much, much more so than R. Kelly, is innocent in case anyone is wondering.

The series focused on the power struggles between the trades union and the management on the shop floor of an (fictional) aircraft factory, Scott Furlong Ltd, as well as the political in-fighting between the management themselves. Patrick Wymark proved particularly popular as the anti-heroic managing director John Wilder, who was almost a proto-J.R. Ewing in that he became a central character that the other characters and viewers "loved to hate". Wilder's nemesis in the boardroom was David Corbett (Alan Dobie), though he was supported by his long-suffering wife Pamela (Barbara Murray, with Ann Firbank standing in for a few episodes when Murray was unavailable), his personal assistant Don Henderson (Jack Watling) and ever-reliable secretary Miss Lingard (Norma Ronald). Their task was to manufacture and sell a world-class aircraft, the Sovereign.

total is $149.something(including shipping),now this may seem like the same for buying at a store but it has no tax so i would be getting it for $150 plus i have to pay tax at another store so it will probably be higher

Like my other question... I'll give you hints of what my list would look like...
FIRST... Chris Brown is NOT the best singer of this bunch... In my opinion...
SECOND.... Ray J IS the WORST singer of the bunch.... LOL
I can see more people are interested in the girls than the guys... so, I'll post THIS list first.
#1 - Urban Mystic - I think he's probably the MOST talented singer.. his voice is just fuller & he can SING!
#2 -Mario - He actually is a very good singer, not as great a voice as Urban, but he's got RANGE and can sing.
#3 - Chris Brown - This is hard one..Chris is a good singer.. not much range..
#4 - Lloyd - Lloyd is probably a better singer than Chris, but has a voice that can get a little annoying.
#5 - Bobby Valentino - Another pretty good singer, but again with a voice that can be a little annoying.
#6 - Trey Songz - He has an okay voice, but he's not a great singer... if you ever heard him live.. he doesn't hit standard notes all the time..
#7 - Ray J - I don't know what happened to him, he used to be decent... he has gotten worse... his voice is very shaky, he can't hit basic notes, he's all over the place... he's good at 'faking' like he's singing. LOL
