I am planning to move to Montego Bay in a cpl of months time, My wife and I live in Miami at present. She would be moving with me as a dependent. Is it difficult to find a job for her? Is there any activities or volunteering she could do to pass time. The company pays for our relocation expenses, what important things should I carry from US, which might be difficult to get in Jamaica or expensive?

We're thinking arriving to Ft. Lauderdale instead of Miami to save some money, rent a motorcycle either there or in Miami, ride to Key West, return to Miami and from there take a bus or rent a car to Clearwater and fly back from Tampa.

Okay, lets combine our money so it can be easier to calculate. together, $2400 income, less 237, less 160, is $2000 dollars. less 700 is $1300. So, will $1300 cover the rest of the expenses, like food, gas, etc, etc for the rest of the month? I have one credit card, from 1st financial bank, its a student card, and i can only use it for emergencies or things related to school. Ive only used it twice ever since I've had the thing. It usually just stays in my nightstand drawer at home. he doesn't have a problem paying more than half of the rent, because he makes more. we've already talked about it, because i told him i wont be able to afford my half, so he told me I can pay less than half. He's a really good guy, i'm not saying that we won't ever break up, but we have built a great friendship and relationship over the past 5 years.

Me and my girlfriend (23 and 21 ) moved to Florida from Maryland last September. Unfortunately we didn't do much research and got stuck in a dead area called North Port. It's pretty much an old head town where there isn't anything to do fun wise and the job market is sucks. I was very "lucky" to get a job at home depot but I want to do real estate. We were told upon moving here there was plenty of jobs and places to go. Never knew we would have to travel an hour to get to these places. We moved down with no car but our luck has recently changed and we acquired an 89' grand marquis, tho I'm sure its not really made to put up with the ware and tare of traveling 2 hours everyday to/from work. My boyfriend and I will be relocating to Miami, FL around Sept. from northern New England. We arent familiar with the area and arent sure where we will be working. Hes going to Miami Dade College for air traffic control and I'll eventually be going to grad school (possibly at Nova), so a commutable distance is important. We're looking for an affordable 1 bedroom apartment (prefferably < $750/month, ideally around $675) thats in a relatively safe area (I don't want to worry about break ins, walking to my apartment, car getting stolen, etc.) as sometimes he travels on weekends. Ive looked on Rent.com and other websites and everytime I find something that looks nice (pretty landscaping, pool, fitness center, parking, & decent rent) I go to apartmentratings.com and the reveiws are awful! Any advice of safe neighborhoods/best places are helpful. How long is the commute from neighboring towns and Homestead, FL? Neighboring towns or neighborhood recommendations are appreciated! Thank

I have currently been dating my boyfriend for 4 years he has been on and off using drugs and he was recently sober for about 2 mths and all of a sudden went on a binge. He is not working. I am paying the rent, light, phone , car, my tuition, i am working 10hrs a day 5 days a week to make ends meet. on top of that my car is not working. As a human with a heart I feel bad just walking out on him. On the flip side I am fed up! I just feel that if I leave him he will be homeless or overdose. it's so easy to say just leave. I am a peruvian and I was in Miami driving a rent car like a tourist. A police put me a traffic citation because I did a bad change in a road. I have never received a letter from Miami to pay the ticket. Today I enter in the miami-dadeclerk web page and I see US200 penalty and I can not pay the ticket because it is in a collection agency.
