I need help...
I have, sorry I mean a "very good friend' has just got into Torrent downloads for music. "He" has been fine with mp3's on to CD to play in his car, but now has a new car and the radio only plays CDR and CDRW, not Mp3. "He" has started downloading FLAC instead of Mp3, but how do we get it on to a CDR to play like a normal CD that will be ok in this new car CD player???
Please talk this novice through the proceedure. I have Nero on my system if that can be used?

I need the real BASICS here... If I have the music files in FLAC format, and just burn the files onto a CD, will it play on a CD player? Otherwise do you have any other suggestions as to a better format to download as torrent that would work as a CD in my car?

I am changing computers, and i need to transfer all of my stuff, into a temp place in order to load them when i get my computer. when i play a CD on my laptop that was burned on my desktop computer it wont display track information, i wanted to copy the tracks onto my laptop, the cdr tracks were downloaded from a program on the Internet then moved to wmpl10 where i got all the media information when connected to the Internet.
my laptop has vista and wmpl11 i dont know if that makes any diffrence as my desktop has xp and wmpl10.also could it be that because the tracks were already copied am not alowed to copy them again, or do i have to insert all media information

Ive got a Sony VGNA115B laptop with music management system SonicStage 4.3. I transferred my entire record library onto the system using Sonys Sonic Stage Mastering Stuidio. This took months, plus editing etc. After completing the transfers I spent a couple of years enjoying using the library and sending CDR copies to friends. However one day while i was burning a CDR an error message appeared on SonicStage warning "Hard Drive Full". Since that day all my audio files in ATRAC3plus format (Sonys own software) will not play. My SonicStage library will play all .Wav and .Mp3 audio files but will not even recognise any of the hundreds of .ATRAC3plus format files i transferred onto the system from vinyl records. I am a member of Sonys own VAIO owners club and they have attemped to assist with the problem but it seems the laptop will have to go back to them for further investigation. The files will not even transfer back to MP3.My question is has anybody had similar problems with SonicStage?

i knew that once its there, it cant be deleted, but i didn't know that it auto finalizes once you burn and take it out. i thought more songs could be added later...!

All I know is the computer has audio cd (e) when I hit my computer from start menu and that itunes has a box at the bottom that says burn cd that I hit but nothing really happened except it got messed up.

When I put a disc into my f drive I get different results depending on what type of disc it is, for example:
1) music cd - works normally
2) software cd - works normally
3) dvdr/dvdrw - disc is not recognized, computer says there is no disk in the drive
4) dvd movie - disc is not recognized, computer says there is no disk in the drive
5) cdr - the disc is recognized but the computer says the disc is blank even if there is data on it
Can anyone help me fix this problem as it only started happening yesterday and I don't know what has caused it. Many thanks to anyone who can help.

I bought some CDR-W to burn. I place them in my desktops cd rom drive it lights up then it stops as if its ready, but when i go to burn the music it says please insert blank cd. All of them Are blank though. If i go to my computer its as if there is no cd inside the drive. For years I've been buying Fuji cd blanks and stuck to Fuji. It said All Purpose 80 Min 700 mb. I had no problem, using it to record from Sony cd recorder/player. They must have taken it off the market. Bought Maxell CD-R also 80 min 700mb..but recorder doesn't record.Recently I bought TDK CD-R 80 min, 700mb and works fine...but it does say music on outer label.
So do I have to be extra careful in that it should say music or all purpose from now on? Wouldn't you think 80 Min 700mb would be exactly the same for ALL cd blanks?
Sony recorder is 4 years old.
I did find that the ones I can't use for recording music on recorder I can use for storing photos from computer.

A friend suggested that I take my hard drive out and put it back in to trick my computer into thinking that it's new. I don't know if that'd work. I've never been able to burn an MP3 with Nero before. I've had it for some 2 years, but it continues to fail. I can make a library to listen to music, view videos, everything except burning anything onto a CD. What's wrong with it? Do I need a new version or something. Help

For the longest time I've used Widows Media Player, and this never happened until recently. Then I started using the new (beta?) version of Nero. I can burn a couple discs with Nero, and after that it's kind of iffy. And if they exceed more that 12 tracks or so, they freeze.
Even Deep Burner has the same problems. Yet Windows isn't quite as problematic.
My operating system is Windows xp pro. I burned hundreds of CDs with Windows media player without incident. Then recently I started using the new Nero, and even Windows has started screwing up, but not as often.

Many of you may not recognize this music, but it is quite common to collectors. It's obscurity has no bearing on my problem. As I've mentioned, many others that I know, have no problems with burning. And neither do I unless they relate to what I've mentioned above.

I have a Dell computer that has windows vista on it. (not sure if that even matters) but anyway I used to burn cd's all the time on my old computer with xp. My dvd and cd drive on my emachines computer has started acting up. It used to burn an 80 minute cdr in about 2-3 minutes now it takes twenty. When i play music or movies from the drives they cut out and play slow or lock up entirely. It takes forever to rip music as well. i want to save some of my music on a flash drive. i have never used one before. are there different kinds of flash drives to get. when i put my music on my flash drive can i save it back to my computer? i just need to know what a flash drive is and does. is it the same as a cdr and cdrw?
Voting Question: Can I use a blank dvd to burn MP3's?
I just ran out of CDr's and wanted to know if I could use a dvdr to burn music........
