  • Open Question: My husband no longer is in love with me but does not want to leave.?
We have been married for 13 years. Have three children together. He cheated on me several times at the very beginning of our relationship but for many years he did not and things were wonderful. About 2 years ago, I caught him with one of our friends(and his coworker). In the conversation that followed that debacle, he said that he loved me but was not "in love" with me. But he wanted to stay and work on things. For the most part things were great. Our only two obstacles were that I was not able to get past his infidelity this time and he did not seem to want to give any affection at all. That just stopped the night I caught them. It just seemed to hurt more because she was my friend. And it did not help that she was always still around and still calling him, up to this day. I blew up on him two weeks ago because I found out they were playing poker online together. He said he did not tell me because he knew I would blow up. Told him I probably would not have if he had been honest. He swears that they are just friends. And honestly, when he is not at work he is at home, so I really don't think they are at it again. Since I blew up, I have tried to back off and not drive myself crazy. I am just makiing myself sick and that is not good for my kids. Yesterday, I decided to write a letter to him explaining my feelings and my thoughts on love and "in love" and ask that he try to show at least a small token of affection every once in a while. THAT did not go over well. He accused me of using the kids to try and make him feel bad because I said in the letter that I felt like the kids could see me hurting. This letter was JUST my feelings. I just wanted him to maybe see things from a different perspective. I said maybe he really is still in love with me but he is not working on seeing if that is possible. He flat refused to do anything. Said he should not have to try because he did not want to, He said he knew it would not kill him to give me hugs or tokens of affection, he simply DID NOT WANT TO so he is not going to do it. He said that we are good partners so he is not going to leave but I need to accept him for what he is. Said we got married for better or worse, I need to accept the worse. I am so hurt, lonely and sad right now. What do I do? Should I tell him to go since he is not even willing to do anything? Should I concentrate on myself and hope that he will come around? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
  • Voting Question: Where to play real blackjack?
Ok, here's the deal. Before the law was passed on banning online gambling (in the usa), i used to play on pokeroom.com and i made quite a bit of money playing blackjack there. I trusted the place because my friend turned me on to it...but i don't talk to him anymore and I want to gamble again on blackjack only (i'm a horrible poker player), make some extra bucks (because i know how to gamble and be responsible). Does anyone have any sites that they trust that accepts USA customers and allows me a cashout not to a bank, but to be paid by check? I want something safe, and play online, i don't want to download software. Thank you! I don't live close to a casino, and i work full time, i'd have to drive far to get to a casino..and i want to play everyday, get 30 minutes of play in and get some money

  • Resolved Question: I'm completely lost and don't know what to do anymore. Please Help!?
My husband and I have been married for 6 years and have 3 young children. We have had a recurring problem in our marriage of poker. He plays online and when he does play he generally loses hundreds of dollars. He is addicted and has cycles of playing and not. He recently started playing again for the first time in over a year. I was heartbroken. He maxed out his new credit card and stopped thank god. I quit work to stay home with our children about 6 months ago because we lost our babysitter and can't afford daycare. I think he realizes that if he spends and money from the checking that we will not recover. So for about 2 weeks now things have been very tense. We don't talk about it. I can't seem to get the nerve to bring it up knowing what a huge argument it will turn into and I think he just thinks that if we don't talk about it, it will just blow over. A couple of saturdays ago I put all the kids in the car and told him I was going grocerey shopping. I was leaving. I had no intention of going back. But then I thought about it and I didn't have any money ( he cashes his paycheck every week then gives me the money to deposit on sunday night, this was still saturday.) I have 3 kids and couldn't just leave with no money at all. The bigger problem is that since all of the poker issues, I have become quite the detective. I have access to all his online accts and websites so I can know if he's playing and hopefully how much. He doesn't know this of course. I checked his acct this morning becasue he was online a long time last night, and not only did he visit gambling sites, but he signed up for a singles dating website! He knows that I've been upset at him and I have kinda given him the cold shoulder for the past week or two. We have still had..intimate realations in the past 2 weeks and he told me he loves me and kissed me good night two nights ago. Of all the things that have made me think of leaving him, this has never been one. I've never worried about him cheating or looking for something else before. Every time I have talked about leaving, he tells me how much he loves me and how he doesn't know what he would do without me and the kids. Is this just his curiosity or is this something more serious??? I am just beside myself. I don't know what to do anymore. I need someone with some serious words of wisdom, please! Serious answers only please.

  • Voting Question: Should I marry this guy?
I'm 19 and he's 27. He lives paycheck to paycheck, is in debt and has no savings. I'm in college full time. From the beginning I've been buying things when he didn't have $, like grocery. Or whenever I came to see him he'd order a pizza and ask me to pick it up on the way (and I paid for it). Then he'd ask me to bring him lunch to work 30 miles away (I'd pay for the lunch and the gas, he never offered). But last month he told me to quit my job and move in with him so I could focus on my schoolwork. So now that I live with him and he pays most of the bills. I only get about $500/mo in unemployment which I give directly to him to pay whatever bill is due. He plays poker regularly or buys video games and movies. I never get to go out or do anything. I planned a trip to Vegas in December because my best friend is stationed there. He's a poker player and was excited to come along. When we first met he was playing online and had won almost $1,000 and said that was our Vegas money. Well in the 3 months we've been dating he's lost that and more. Now I'm paying for the entire trip with my financial aid refund money. Plus he wants to get married in Vegas so I'll be paying for that too. I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said a new computer. We were in Sam's Club and he points out this $700 Dell and said that's what he wants. Like I said before I'm an unemployed student and my financial aid money is supposed to last for a whole semester. Is his behavior unexceptable? I'm not used to paying this much $$ in a relationship so it's really starting to bother me. I love him dearly and he tells me he loves me too. Please help!!

  • Voting Question: second chance..is it worth it?
So I met this guy online and then we ended up chatting on Y!Messenger during the whole summer for 3 hours a day while I was taking 5 week sumer classes at a community college and staying up there with my sister for the summer.Anyhow he broke his promise twice that he would call because of work but made up for it the third time around and we talked on the cell as though nothing happened for 2 hours(all this happened after I just got out of a 2 years and 9 months relationship which I ended),then I thought he ignored me so I got mad at him and wrote him these e-mails which made him think that I do not want to talk with him.We made amence but argued some more, made amence another time and then he was clearing his schedule to chat with me when IKE struck and he lost power. After IKE work was hectic for him and he did not give a sign of life so I wrote him an email telling him how I felt which was mad for him breaking his promises, etc and I never heard from him after I wrote him afterwards. Then my cell screen went blank so I could have people call me but had no idea who was calling, lost his number when I got my new cell and after I called him(found his #) he did not call back.I left him a voice mail saying that if he wants to talk he knows where he can find me because I do not want to talk with him.Anyhow he left me a voice mail saying that he really really really wants to talk to me and then it was us playing phone tag.I wanted to get back at him but then dropped it.Anyhow this is where it gets interesting: 2-3 days ago he was in S.C. and we were texting, his texts made me smile and well I invited him to my homecoming at my university. The next day he texts me telling me that he has a client he might have to work with but he told his boss that he might take a day off which his boss did not like because they have so much to do.For once he is keeping his word which is impressing me,then yesterday when I was with my guyfriend that I was hanging out with he texts me asking if I have ne classes and tells me that he will be by my university at a certain time which coincided w/ my philo class and the test I had in there.Anyhow he wanted to hang out with me and now he is doing everything possible to come and see me.I do not know what to think of his actions since he seems to have changed,he opened up to me about his family problems and the advice I gave him he applied it to his sister's marital/separated problem then when she asked where he got the advice from he said from a friend named _.I finally told him that I do not have time for bs before he changed that is and he called me when he was drunk once,he was hanging out with friends(playing poker) and I wanted to let him go enjoy his friends' co. but he ended up cussing them so I had to calm him down over the cell.So is he interested in me,playing games or what?
  • Resolved Question: How can I be more social?
Here's the thing, for the past 4 years I was involved in heavy gambling. It's all I did, just go on the internet and play online poker and take a few classes at the junior college. A few weeks ago I hit rock bottom, lost everything( 100kish) and finally admitted to myself I have a problem and have since quit. I am 22 years old now and really have no social life because of my severe addiction. I have never had a girlfriend since highschool. This is my first semester in a university and I want to have fun. Not to sound conceited but I am very attractive guy and girls do come to me, but I always scare them away due to my poor communication skills and shyness. How do I correct this? Gambling has really wrecked me and I want to fix myself. Thanks in advance. Forgot to add, in addition to no girlfriend since highschool I don't have any friends. My entire world was gambling and the world has finally started to open up since I quit.

  • Resolved Question: Am I being selfish toward my boyfriend?
I'm 19 and he's 27. He pretty much lives paycheck to paycheck and has no savings or anything. I'm a full time college student that's not working at the moment. In November I'll be getting almost $4,000 from school (financial aid refund $$). I planned a trip to Vegas in December because my best friend is stationed there. He's a poker player and agreed to go with me. When we first met he was playing online and had won almost $1,000 and said that was our Vegas money. Well in the 3 months we've been dating he's lost that and more. Now I'm paying for the entire trip with my money. I asked him what he wanted for Christmas and he said a new computer. Is he asking too much or am I being selfish? I guess I feel bad for not wanting to because I live with him and he pays all the bills.

  • Open Question: How to talk to a deadbeat boyfriend?
I'm 19 and am dating a 27 year old. We've been together for 3 months and he's perfect in every area except finances. He's never taken me out to dinner or bought me anything. I've been spending money on him since we've met. Yet he has money to play poker all the time. Since I've known him he's lost a little over $1,000 playing online. He's always complaining about not having any money, yet he's really irresponsible. How can I talk to him about this? We live together and he pays most of the bills. I guess that's mainly why I'm hesitant to say anything because it's "his" money that he's spending, you know? I used to work but he told me to quit my job so I could focus on school full time. So now I live with him and collect unemployment.
