-just wondering if other people do/have done this: I started ordering tramadol (Ultram) online several weeks ago after a c-section because I knew I would still be in pain after my percocet ran out (I have a sciatic thing going on). Anyway, I have now been taking the tramadol for several weeks and notice it nicley curbs my appitite as well as making my pain tollerable. I am worried because I find myself wanting to order even stronger medicines I find online (I'm getting good at finding them)! I am not terrably over weight nor have I ever been but I have always had a weak spot for any drug that makes me less hungry and pain meds actually seem to work better for me than drugs like phentermine. Before I get some lecture of how dangerous this can be, I would like to hear from others who may have some experience with it or anyone who has had the same experience of weight loss while on pain medications.

I have been taking phentermine 37.5 for about 7 months. Today I went for my monthly check up at the bariatric clinic and the doctor changed my medication to tenuate ds 75 mg. One in the morning and half in the afternoon just as I was taking the phentermine. I originally weighed 166 lbs. I now weigh 139 lbs. I have been losing a few pounds a month, this month I only lost a half pound. I have used this before and I hated the effect it gave me, ( although some people take it for fun?), but it did decrease my appetite to the point I had to remind myself to eat. I stopped taking it because I could not stand the side effects. Just to let you know, a doctor did prescribe me the phentermine and they have recommended that I take chromium picolinate to minimize my cravings for sweet foods.

I weigh 143 lbs and i am 5'1. I recently had a baby and gained alot of weight so my doctor prescribed me "phentermine 37.5" pills. I understand it will suppress my appetite but does it do anything else to help me lose weight? I mean... it doesnt help a person lose weight by not making them eat right? The last few days, around 1 - 2 p.m. I find that my head starts feeling weird, kind of like I'm light headed & tired like I need to lay down & nap and my stomach feels gasy and a little upset.
I gradually become more and more nauscous and the smell and sight of food turns me off.
By 5, I feel like i need to have a bowel movement (nothing comes out though) and when my fiance comes home and starts cooking, the smell of the food makes me feel queasy, but I never start gagging or feel vomit rising in my throat or anything.
I normally don't feel like eating again until around 7.
I am taking Phentermine for my weight, but I've taken it in the past too and never had this reaction. Also, I have been eating beans once or twice a day, but I haven't had any since yesterday because I thought maybe they were making me sick.
I still feel the same.
EDIT: I have been taking Microgestin birth control for about two years. My nipples are sore and not from being intimate with fiance or anything I've knowingly done
