  • Open Question: Where can I get information about how to volunteer in Spain as a teen if I can get there myself?
I'm going to Spain this summer, like I do every summer with my parents, but I've wanted to volunteer a lot and I know summer is a good time to do it. I've been searching and I can't find anything that matches what I'm looking for. All the things I find are for people who want it to include travel and who don't speak Spanish. I do. I'm thinking it would be good to teach English or something like that. Maybe I could get an actual job. I don't know. I really need a good resource, though. Oh, and we always travel to the south of Spain (Andalucia) in a small town named Chipiona, near Cadiz and Jerez.

  • Open Question: Born agains are you agree with this information about When Will God’s Kingdom Come?
When Will God’s Kingdom Come? “LORD, are you restoring the kingdom to Israel at this time?” (Acts 1:6) The apostles were eager to know when Jesus would establish his Kingdom. Today, some 2,000 years later, people are still eager to know: When will God’s Kingdom come? Since Jesus made the Kingdom the theme of his preaching, you might expect that he discussed this question. And indeed he did! He spoke extensively about a marked period of time that he called his “presence.” (Matthew 24:37) That presence is closely tied to the establishment of the Messianic Kingdom. What is this presence? Let us consider four truths the Bible reveals about the presence of Christ. 1. Christ’s presence would begin a long time after his death. Jesus gave an illustration in which he likened himself to a man who “traveled to a distant land to secure kingly power,” or to “secure a kingdom.” (Luke 19:12; footnote) How was that prophetic illustration fulfilled? Well, Jesus died and was resurrected; then he traveled to the “distant land,” that is, heaven. As Jesus foretold in a similar illustration, his return in kingly power would come only “after a long time.”—Matthew 25:19. Some years after Jesus ascended to heaven, the apostle Paul wrote: “This man [Jesus] offered one sacrifice for sins perpetually and sat down at the right hand of God, from then on awaiting until his enemies should be placed as a stool for his feet.” (Hebrews 10:12, 13) So a lengthy period of waiting followed Jesus’ arrival in heaven. The wait finally ended when Jehovah God made his Son the King of the long-promised Messianic Kingdom. That was when Christ’s presence began. Would humans on earth see this momentous event? Matthew 7 verse 21-23....that is the answer

My name is Barrister Jorge Antonio Gallart, an Attorney at Law in Madrid-Spain. I am writing to notify you of the TESTAMENT of our late client Mr.Yaroslav Zojniuk, Ukrainian who unfortunately lost his life in the Madrid Bomb Blast on March 11, 2004. • Open Question: Phuket, February 2009?
My boyfriend and myself are travelling to Phuket in a months time. So our trip is all paid for and all we need is the ticket; but I have no idea what I should be packing! I'd love some help with what I should be packing for our February trip in a month. We are doing 8 nights in Phuket and 2 in Bangkok. Are there any rules we should be following in certain areas; like are we not allowed to swim in the ocean in bikinis or do we have to cover up according to any religions? Is it rude to wear shorts in any areas or going out a night time are there any dress codes for boys or girls? Are there any real 'no-no's about tipping or shaking hands or cuddling/kissing in public? Taking photos in certain areas? Do Thai culture do anything regarding Valentines Day (it's my boyfriends birthday on the same day!) And where abouts do they hold the Full Moon Party, because there is going to be one at the time we are there. Or any other important tips! All information given would be amazing! Thanks.
  • Open Question: Is it possible to travel backwards in time?
I have two very related questions. I wanted to keep the title short, but I want to explain my question more. Is it possible for a single mind to travel backwards in time? I can't quite put it into words, but can a human mind go backwards in time while still being attached to his/her body? This question might sound weird but I'm actually going off of real scientific data and supposing that time travel is possible. Now to the second question. Suppose that would be possible, what effects might this give? I want to see some of your answers, I will post my thought on this as additional information later. Thanks for your time. to Sassy baby: I can't explain everything here, but I'll try to make this understandable. I've always known that traveling to you own past will create a paradox. Even if you do not "directly" affect yourself, once in the past, are are already affecting yourself indirectly just by being there. By affecting yourself in the past, your present self might become different, crating an unending paradox. A paradox is impossible. It cannot happen. I've always thought that because of that traveling backwards in time would be impossible, but recently I thought of it completely differently. If one's mind (yes, I mean "mind) would travel backwards in time, then everything would be in reverse for that person. Instead of the world affecting that person's mind, and that person's mind affecting his/her actions, the world would affect his/her actions and his/her mind will change the world at will into whatever he/she wants.

  • Open Question: China Home Return Pass travel to Tibet?
Hi, I am currently in China using my China Home Return Pass, which I have because whilst I'm an Australian citizen, I was born in Hong Kong. This card has been great for travelling in China, because I do not need a visa - I'm basically treated as a Chinese citizen and can work and stay here as long as I want. I was wondering though, what about Tibet? Does any have any information about whether I can travel to Tibet without any additional documentation? Please provide links wherever possible, as I would like to verify the information before embarking on a trip to Tibet. Thanks.

  • Open Question: math question easy 10 points ?
What are the factors of the equation w^2+3^w-180 For problems 11 through 13, a projectile is fired upward with an initial speed of 800 feet per second. It is given that h= -16t^2+800t (h is the height of the ball). 11. Factor the given equation completely. 12. What will you set h equal to in the equation to find how many seconds it takes for the projectile to hit the ground? a. h = 0 b. h = 1 13. Use your graphing calculator to find how many seconds before the projectile hits the ground. Let y^1= -16t^2+800t , or factor and solve for t algebraically. a. 0 seconds b. 50 seconds The formula for questions 14-16 came from the police department. They use this formula to determine the speed at which the car was going when the driver applied the brakes, by measuring the distance of the skid marks. So when you get to problem 16, it is referring to what a person would interpret the situation if the skid mark was zero distance. So, if the skid mark distance equaled zero, that would mean, the speed of the vehicle, r, was zero, or that the car was able to stop instantly. For problems 14 through 16, the equation d= .05r^2+r models the distance, d, in feet traveled by a car moving r miles per hour (r is the speed of the car) after the driver begins to stop the car. 14. Factor the equation d= 05.r^2+r 15. What is the domain of the situation above? 16. If the distance the car traveled after applying the brakes equals 20 feet, what does that mean to the officer investigating the accident? (HINT: Let d = 20, bring 20 to the right so that the equation equals zero, identify the coefficients, A, B and C and then use the quadratic formula to solve mathematically) a. The car was stopped when the driver applied the brakes. b. The car was going about 12.36 miles per hour c. The car was going about 32.36 miles per hour d. There is not enough information to determine the correct answer a. all positive real numbers b. all positive integers c. all real numbers 16. There is not enough information to determine the correct answer. 17. Using the stopping distance formula above and the graph below, what point on the graph allows you to find the speed that the car may travel if it needs at least 25 feet to come to a complete stop?

  • Open Question: I'm traveling to these 3 places in Brazil and need some help. ?
Me and a good friend of mine are traveling to Rio, Salvador and Porto Seguro within an 18 day trip starting on March 5th. I've been reading some very cool and fun stuff about Brazil in the "Lonely Planet, Brazil" book. There's so much information about the entire country, and what to do there. However, since we don't speak a lick of Portuguese, will we be able to get around ok? I've been practicing a little bit each day because I at least want to look respectable when I'm traveling around. We're flying into Rio De Janeiro and staying there first for about 4 or 5 days, then onto Salvador, then Porto Seguro. I'm not so sure if I feel comfortable traveling to the non-touristy areas, but my friend wants to go everywhere. I respect that, but not only do we have a short amount of time, but we also don't have a tour-guide with us to get around easier. I also don't wanna be mugged every night for looking like a disoriented tourist. The only thing that helps me is that I speak fluent Italian, but should I learn Portuguese as well for the next 2 months just to get around easier? Also, I hear that you have to keep your money in your shoes and carry the minimum in your pocket. Now, I'm an experienced traveler in Italy, and you also have to watch your back over there too, especially in Naples and Palermo. But if you simply have common sense and keep an eye out, will you be ok in Brazil? Thanks for all your help. Stallion

  • Open Question: Where in Ireland is the best place to live?
I'm a 20 year old male, with very low expenditures. Ive been saving what I can here and there, in hopes that I may travel to Ireland for a few years. Reason originally being my Irish background, as living in Canada all my life led me to crave the opportunity. I further looked into Ireland and its economy's state, to find it just as good as Canada. (If this is false, please inform me) I read on wiki recently that Belfast seems to be the best choice in mind. I would like to know the current economy, tax rates, housing/renting costs, common goods prices (ex. milk, a can of pepsi) and any other information I may be interested in, if I were to travel there. Also any information on how much is recommended to be saved before attempting to move to Ireland and attempt employment would be greatly appreciated. What is the minimum wage and/or common wage for most job opportunities there?

  • Open Question: Super Hard Math Word Problem..Help?
You work for the ACME Repair Company. When the company takes a job out of town, the total cost of the job includes traveling costs to and from the job site. The ACME Company charges $2.40 per mile. You just returned from a service call and are about to read the odometer to determine number of miles traveled. You need this information to calculate the traveling costs for the service call. When you went to read the odometer, you discovered that it was broken. As you continued to work on the paper work for the service call, you noticed there was enough information to calculate the number of miles traveled. The service vehicle you used gets 26 miles per gallon on the highway and 18 miles per gallon in the city. Travel time to and from the job site was 3.7 hours and the vehicle used 8.5 gallons of gas. The company has a strict policy about not going over the speed limit when using their vehicles. The speed limit on the highway is currently 65 mph and you estimated the average speed limit through the small towns to be 30 mph. What is the traveling cost for the service call? I'm not even sure where to start with this problem..please help me? Thanks xoxo

  • Open Question: Out of state traffic violation?
I was traveling back to college this afternoon and I got pulled over for speeding. Luckily, the officer only gave me a "disobeying a traffic control device" ticket. Now, will the fact that I live in PA and have a PA driver's license and license plate, but received the ticket in New York help or hurt the lenience of my fine? And speaking of the fine, the NY DMV site is obtuse and hard to find information on...how much do fines usually amount to? I've seen 100-150, with a 50 surcharge. A fine is not listed on the ticket. It outlines instructions how to mail, etc. and the court will mail me back a statement saying how much it is going to be. No court appearance is required (according to ticket) Main thing though...I'm from PA, I got pulled over in NY...will I have to pay more than if I was a NY resident?
  • Resolved Question: is it possible to travel to bosnia-herzegovina just with an invitation letter?
my friend have had contact with a bosnian team and they want him to go there and make tests with the possibility of signing a contract at the end.but in our country there is no bosnian embassy. but the club said they can just send to him the invitation letter then he can just use that and his passport to travel.and it is at his arrival at the airport in bosnia that he will be given a 1 month visa to get in the country.because the club would have already done the necessary for that with the immigration. but my friend is affraid that he can be stopped at an european airport when he needs to change plane. does my friend will need a EU transit visa even if he will just have to change a plane in an EU airport without getting out of that airport? the club says the invitation letter will bear all the informations that any control at an airport can check, like his passport number, his name and all the guarrantees and the club contact, so that they can be contacted for confirmation. so is it possible that my friend can travell without problem in that way? ps:the club said it has been done before in that way without any problem with a young player they got from africa who is still playing for them now. but my friend is unsure if just changing a plane at a EU airport will need a transit visa or not?does just changing a plane without getting out of the airport is consider as transit? if someone knows about some EU rules about this, please help with that. thanx. my friend is from zambia.and there is no bosnian embassy in zambia.in the bosnian foreign affairs ministry site, they say that holders of regular passport from zambia shall have their visa issued in germany. i know bosnia is not an EU country, but on the way to bosnia,my friend is more likely to change plane in one or more EU countries,so that's where he needs to know if it might be a problem at that point if in his invitation letter it says that he'll get the bosnian visa at his arrival in bosnia. it is possible that he get his visa at his arrival.because the club will arrange all with the immigration offices.but the only worry here for my friend is to know if he might be stopped when he has to change plane in a EU country airport and being asked for a transit EU visa in order for him to go through his next flight?
  • Open Question: Travel information for Fort Lauderdale, Florida.?
My friend and I are planning to live with my uncle, and work in Fort Lauderdale Florida for about 2 months. If anyone has any information on acquiring a working visa, the fort lauderdale area, or any other helpful tips on trip planning and whatnot, it would be greatly appreciated! :) Edit: We will be needing a visa, we're canadian not america, otherwise I would not have asked. We are getting a student visa... so YES it does give us the right to work because it is a "very special visa", just like the "very special" answer you gave. and no.. we wont be babysitting, housecleaning or gardening, we are university graduates not middle school dropouts. Only serious answers please.
