I am an immigrant who came to the U.S. a few years ago I wish I could believe this but I can't, and it bothers me when I think about the future the thing is Everyday when I turned on TV, there are always TV shows, news, movies, about spouse and girlfriend/boyfriend cheating on each other. Cheating, sex, cheating,sex....is all i see on TV, cough "Jerry Springer"cough, and very few shows I seen are about long term marriage commitment And then there are always some famous people cheated on his/her wife/husband, Clinton, Edward, etc. I wish that all I see does not reflex whole America, but it is very misleading, and some parts of myself is not that convinced Today, I just seen a news that says two people are filing divorce, the husband wants the kidney he gave to his wife when she needed one back. Why they divorce, his wife cheated on him...after he did that?! unbelievable so... Is marriage in America only about enjoying sex/money/power, or is it about love and commitment that does not affected by the sexual/money/power needs? In other word, do normal Americans seek things like sexual pleasure only with their spouses or would they seek somewhere else when the needs are not fulfilled? Please make me believe that a healthy matrimony is possible here

My partner and I have been together for sometime. I myself am a survive of childhood sexual abuse. My wife came out and said that when she was a young child her brother and his friends who at the time were all 3 years older did some sexual stuff to her. She did not say no and went along to have a friend. She told me that she remembers them rubbing themselves on her but not so much more. The memories seem blocked. She is now having flashbacks and needs to watch tv during sex to enjoy it so she doesn't think of thoughts as she calls them. She feels sick during sex and dirty and scared. I am not sure if this was abuse but she is showing so many signs and she thinks it was. help. she is going to a therapist next week.

Open Question: Clearing up space for iTunes movie downloads.?
I have probably about six movies on iTunes and a lot of television shows. I have about 15 incomplete seasons of various shows stored on the computer. This doesn't seem like a huge amount! But whenever I try to rent a movie on iTunes, it pauses the download and says "the disk you are attempting to use is full". The only way I can clear it up is to DELETE tv shows or movies I've already bought! Is there a maximum of movies you can have? Or is there some other way to free up space? Thanks!

Open Question: Lately I've had many fighting dreams...any reason?
For the past few weeks, all of my dreams have been about fighting. But since I don't want to make this too long, I'll only name the first three. My first dream was that I was an Aztec warrior fighting a Mayan warrior. The Mayan carried a large axe and beat me pretty quickly in the first match. Surprisingly the axe only hit me, but never cut me. The second match, however was quick and I won fairly easily. I won the third match as well, and the dream ended after he disappeared. The next dream I remember is being in college when my best friend comes to visit, but pays no attention to me, even though we're best friends and love each other. He skateboards off (which is odd since he can't skate in real life) and pulls pranks all over campus which results in me having to fight off the police to get away. The last dream I can remember is of me fighting alongside the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers (strange I know..). I played the part of the Green Ranger and we were fighting against different versions of myself. I guess these versions of me were from an alternate universe or something. Anyway we were getting our butts kicked until I somehow gained the ability to fly and shoot large energy beams out of my hands. Then we were able to defeat the evil alternate versions of myself, but before I could say "Thank you" to the Rangers, I woke up. Just so you know, I didn't watch any of the show before going to sleep, so I don't think it was because I watch too much TV lol.

A friend of mine asked me to buy her something while I was living in a foreign country. I bought it for her without asking for any payment in advance. She needed the item for a present, but I was not able to give it to her by that time. The item arrived in August and I had hoped to give it to her at that time, but my mom ended up statying in Baltimore longer than expected to help my sister while moving into her new apartment. My friend ended up waiting over 4 months. Finaly in late December I emailed her and told her I could finaly give her the DVD. I asked her to pay me the most current exchange rate which resulted in the price of the DVD being $13 more expensive that what I paid. But I felt I was justified since I went through the trouble of getting it for her. I also asked her to give me 2 TV shows from Japan as a thank you for my time. She felt taken advantage off. She feels like I should not be charging her the extra $13 plus asking for the 2 DVDs. I had to pay for shipping the DVD back home to my mom which was an added cost to me, but I was willing to let that cost (around $5) slide if she would give me the 2 DVDs I asked for. She feels like she is being taken advantage off. She said she will not give me any DVDs but will give me the price I paid for the item + $6 shipping, and that is all. Is she being fair? I want her to pay the price of item + shipping + handling + phone charge in Japan. She borrowed my phone in Japan for 4 minutes and the total cost was around $1.50. I did not plan on asking for it, but now that she is behaving like she is, I would like it back. I shipped her item along with all my stuff from Japan because I could not carry it in my luggage. I would like her now to pay in yen only now so she does not feel taken advantage of. I am asking for price of DVD + shipping + handling + phone fee for using my phone. Open Question: Is what I describe here about skin cancer something I should be in concern about?
I have had a red mark on the top of my ear for quite some time... Almost 4 years. I never assumed it could be skin cancer as I thought it was simply a mark left over by me accidentally burning my ear with my straightening iron. (I don't know if I actually did do this but I assumed it was ascar of some sort). Just the other day, I was watching a tv show that explained what to look for when looking or skin cancer and something they described fit the description of the thing on my ear to a great degree. I went immediately to get it looked at and got referred to a dermatologist. I am now waiting for my appointment to come around but I am so scared that it is something serious. In the 4 years that it's been there it has never changed except for occasionally get itchy and peel. The initial doctor I spoke to ruled out melanoma but didn't rule out anything else. Will the fact that I let 4 years go by greatly affect things? Also, since it hasn't really changed and all it looks like is a raised red mark on my skin, is it something to worry about? The initial doctor that I spoke with told me she didn't know what it was which is why she wanted me to get it looked at further. Thank you all for your insight! I greatly appreciate it!

I cannot stand what the E! entertainment channel has become. It's become the dumping ground of tasteless reality shows, hosts that are brainless sluts, and endless reruns of a few select shows. It wasn't always this way, they used to have great episodes of the "True Hollywood Story" featuring a variety of subjects, such as old tv shows, actors that had fallen from grace, etc. Since the new management has taken over that network a few years ago, they've changed the direction of E! into a completely different path. I absolutely hate their news program, it's nothing but a sickening kiss-up to the "young Hollywood crowd" news concerning about Britney, Lindsay, Miley blah, blah, blah. The "True Hollywood Story" episodes now feature episodes of stars that have not been around for a long period of time or fake pseudo stars that came from reality shows. E! has become much like MTV, they have reached the lowest common denominator to pander to the young demographic viewing audience. So what do you think? Has anyone noticed this change in direction as I have?

Open Question: Media Center not working?
I have media center 2005 on XP. About a month ago it started to display the protected content warning during commercials. Then it started to display it about 10 minutes into a show and it would stay through the remainder. It didn't do this on all shows just two or three. Now it has taken to start recording a show but after about 30 seconds it stops and starts over for another 30 seconds, it also isn't recording sound. Every since the last reload I must restart media center between every show that I watch otherwise I get a message about Missing Component but it doesn't say which one. Like I said though if I restart media center it works fine until I try to watch a different show. Live TV works fine.

Open Question: HDMI port does not work in my HP laptop?
I bought my HP laptop with Vista installed in it, later I cleaned up and installed Windows XP in it. Now I am getting some problems, might be a driver problems. I bought a new HDMI cable to connect to the Samsung TV and it shows "no signal" in the TV, but when I hooked the same cable to the TV with the laptop which has Vista it works and I can see the clear picture through that. I searched for the drivers in internet but I am not able to find any.

Just yesterday my mom said I was looking way skinnier, and I told her I wasn't on a diet or anything. Im 14! I Don't need to be on a diet. And Then that night I was watching a TV show and it was telling how Nick Jonas got diagnosed. Apparantly, he was swimming and got out of the water and he looked very skinny, so his parents rushed him to the hospital. Then he was diagnosed. Diabetes runs in my family as my mom says. I don't want to pay the fees associated with a Tivo or other DVR product - so I need a new DVD player anyway, and thought if you can get a DVD recorder and just record to cd disc your shows you wanted to watch, I'd just upgrade.... but is this even possible? and if so is there something I need to look for specific when buying one?
