A star in the constellation Lyra and one of the five brightest stars in the night sky. It is a white main-sequence star in the Hertzsprung-Russell diagram, with an apparent magnitude of 0.04. Vega, alo e53 ng with Altair and Deneb, form the Summer Triangle asterism. Scientific name: Alpha Lyra.
