I have a 1995 Chevy Impala SS and I want to put 24 inch rims on it. So I purchased the extended rear control arms (to center the rear wheels) so I know my rear is ok. I know the 275/25/24 tire fits, but I want to go with a thicker tire for obvious reasons. I want to go with the 275/30/24 because its about an inch thicker, but my questions is if I get that tire will it rub when I turn? So far all the places I have asked can't give me an answer because they all use the 275/25/24 tire just because that tire fits without making the rear adjustments.
Open Question: Ball-joints, strut mounts, or sub-frame?
I had my ball-joints done about 6 months ago. When I left the mechanics I heard a funny sound in the front and called him back. He said they forgot to tighten the sub-frame. So I brought it back and they tightened it. Now six months later I hear a clunk or a single knock when i hit bumps or push on the front end. I also hear it when I'm parked and move the steering wheel back and forth. Any Ideas? 94 chevy lumina sedan.
also had tie rods replaced and steering is fine. a little shaky but not uncontrollable.

For your reading and analysis of Part 1 of “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest” , discuss in what ways nurse Ratched fulfils Kesey’s criteria.
Essay:
“A good story needs a good villain” these wise words from Ken Kesey are well reflected in his novel “One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest”. By using Language, technique and incident Kesey has managed to show his main characters antagonist, Nurse Ratched, is not only bad but downright evil.The Nurse is in full control of the ward. The tools she uses - psychological intimidation, divide and conquer techniques , and physical abuse are very powerful. By analysing the techniques used by the author and the overall character of Nurse Ratched I plan to show how Kesey has fufiled his own requirement by creating a character so bad in the way she treats the people around her , that she is classed as evil.
The story of One Flew Over the Cukoos Nest takes place in a psychiatric institution when a newcomer McMurphy comes on the ward he immediately sees Nurse Ratcheds control over the whole ward , not just the patients but also the staff. Mc Murphy ,being a freedom fighter, begins rebelling against “Big Nurse” - as she is known by the patients and endeavours to stop the patients being dehumanised by Nurse Ratched and ultimately overthrow her reign.
Nurse Ratcheds character is quickly established as evil during the opening pages of the novel. “She slides through the door with a gust of cold” shows the reader the lack of human warmth in Nurse Ratched. We are disturbed by this image as we would expect to find very different qualities in a nurse. The mechanical imagery used by Bromden, the novels narrator, also emphasises the coldness of the nurse. “In her bag there’s no compact or lipstick or woman stuff, shes’s got the bag full of a thousand parts she aims to use in her duties today - wheels and cogs polished to a hard glitter.” This reveals the coldness and dehumanised nature of the nurse and while Bromden uses vivid imagery to convey the ward his Impression of Nurse Rached is supported by others.
As well as Bromdens impressions of the nurse. The other patients also have there own impressions. The Patients deny Nurse Ratcheds evil ness, due to them being too scared to stand up to her. “Our dear Miss Ratched? Our sweet, smiling , tender angel of mercy...” The reader sees here the amount of control the nurse has over the patients, to be able to scare a grown man into submission. eventually the other patients realise what the nurse really is. “Oh the bitch, the bitch the bitch”. This emphasises the scared factor, the patients know what she is doing deep inside yet will not stop her, this shows the dehumanising and dominating qualities of Nurse Ratched which are major factors in creating her overall evil ness.

After I told him about himself on Friday he seemed very upset, even though he was ensuring me that he is ok. The rest of the weekend was really nice, we had loads of cuddles and fun. This morning I sent him an e mail asking him if he had a good weekend then on what he has replied : Yes thanks despite what I was called. This means he still is a bit upset about it.
I just want to know your opinion about this, I mean I tried to just explain things to him to make it better not to uspet him..did i make a wrong choice when talking about it?
Also do you think he really likes me when hes being like this? I mean im not expecting to buy me stuff or anything like that, but for example he has bought himself new wheels for his car (not that he needed them urgent) and now he saying he doesnt have much money left till the end of the month. Im a new driver and I would like to know what makes a car have good road handling. I hear alot about how good mazda road handling is but since im a new driver and have only driven a couple cars i find that my new (used) mazda 6i 2006 steering is harder to turn than all cars i have driven. The best steering i have used is in a Honda Accord (2002) since it was very smooth. My mazda steering is just harder to turn but not to hard. I had it serviced at the dealer for its 30k service and they replaced all the fluids and the steering got better but still harder to turn than other cars and also im going to take it back to the dealer to get the wheels aligned because the car keeps going to the right. But how do you tell how a cars road handling is? Is it by how hard the steering is?

I have a problem. Friday night I went out, and when me & my friends got dropped off by the cab driver, I must have accidently left my keys hanging in the door lock. I had shut the door, and then we opened it to pay the guy & there were no keys in it at that time. I didn't realize what happened until the next day & now I'm worried about my car getting stolen. I am having the apt locks changed tomorrow, but since my key chain had my remote keyless entry for my car on it, whoever took it would just have to go to my parking lot & hit the door lock, and see which one lights up - they then have the keys for the ignition as well! I want to protect my car, but read that changing door locks on a car can be several hundred dollars, so I was wondering which of these 2 options would be the best: 1) just have the keyless entry remote code changed right away - that way he wouldnt have any idea which car is mine (there's about 100 cars in the lot). 2)get The Club for the steering wheel? Also, is this something I need to notify my car insurance about? I have full coverage, & don't want this person to come back & steal my car, & myself be held liable for this.

With the lacing pattern I'm using, removing 6 spokes from a 36 spoke pattern would make it look much cooler & more unique. But first I want to know if this make the wheel A) impossible to true, or B) dangerously weak and prone to failure of some sort.

Open Question: Love is the most difficult thing, yes?
My girlfriend and I kind of broke up (it's complicated) a couple days ago. We're both 18 years old. We're in a long distance relationship. She lives in North Hollywood, I live in Orange County. About an hour and a half away from each other. We both aren't able to drive. I take my behind-the-wheel driver's license test next Wednesday though. It's extremely difficult to see each other. The distance pains us (to make up for not seeing each other, we talk on the phone every single night, fall asleep on the phone together, and talk a lot on the computer), and it's the reason she wants to be just friends right now. Maybe there's more reasons, other emotional problems I'm sure. She doesn't know if she wants to be with me. Lately all she ever says is "I don't know what I want." I love her so much, but it feels impossible to let her go. She's my first everything; first kiss, first love, etc. I don't know what to do anymore. Today is our 7 month mark together. March 11, 2008 is when the journey began. I always hoped every night that it would never end, but my hope and faith seems to do me no justice. Why must life be so cruel and harsh to me? What am I doing wrong? I can't be with the one I love, and I try so hard. Maybe I try too hard. Maybe I need to stop trying to change fate and accept that I can never see her. What sucks even more is that I'm with someone my parents and the rest of my family would never accept, and I know that. I know my family. I'd be kicked out of the house and shunned forever. They don't know I'm into girls. And the way they'd react if they knew isn't right. Distance from the one you love is the worst thing anyone could ever ask for. To me, it's like I see her once every hundred years. When I'm not with her, my heart starts to break apart. But when I am with her, it's her who puts it together again. I can't let her go, nor will I ever. Maybe that is true love. I would choose the one I love over anyone in this world. All I need is her, and only her, for as long as I live.

Open Question: Why does my cat love to lick leather?
I have a backpack on wheels, which has leather strips on the back. One of my cats will lick the leather for several minutes at a time. My other cat completely ignores it. I read on a website that this is a symptom of internal parasites, but both cats were recently dewormed. Besides, the other cat doesn't do it.
Can anyone tell me why my cat does this, and is it dangerous? There must be chemicals in the leather, which I would assume are toxic. But my cat's been doing this for several months, so if it was poisonous he probably would have had health problems by now.
Open Question: Accelerating in low revs to pull a wheelie?
I have a crf 230f and iv just learnt how to do wheelies.What i do is go into 2nd gear and go at an idle speed then open the throttle wide to get the front wheel up.But my question is: When i accelerate quickly in 2nd gear at an idle speed does it wreck my engine? In other words:
My bike idles at about 1400 rpm, so when im in gear 2 and about to pull the wheelie my engine is probably at 1400 rpms, and im moving along slowly but not slow enough to stall it. Then i open the throttle up wide so i accelerate fast. It doesnt sound like the engine lugs when i do this but is it bad for my bike when i do this? My bike is heavy and a bit underpowered so i have to really open the throttle up wide to get the front wheel up.

If i pull the wheel up in first gear then change into second, should i use the clutch to change into second? Or should i just quickly pull the gear lever up without using the clutch? I will have to do this fast otherwise the front wheel will go back down.

i tested other bearings, spacer and axle. Open Question: to all skateboarders...?
so whenevr i step on the deck it wobbles like crazy and if i try turning while on my board the deck hits the wheels and makes them stop abruptly wich causes me to fall off wich hurts my delicate pride lol . i tried tightening the trucks but it didnt help...is it time to get a new board or can i fix this?
Open Question: what are pop can tabs made out of?
why are they so valuable. i heard they were made into wheel chairs but what are wheel chairs made out of?
i read somewhere they are alluminum but id think that would make them just as soft as the can.
Open Question: How Can I Afford A New Board?
I got a cheap $20 skateboard from target and i really like skateboarding. In the process of doing simple tricks on my board I broke all 4 wheels (dont ask how). I knew that if I wanted to get good at skating I would need not just better wheels but better everything. I designed a complete online and the total is about $170. I'm already $120 in debt with my parents and theres no way I can afford this complete, but i can't skateboard without a board. I need suggestions on how to raise money or how to solve this problem.
