I want to lose 50 pounds at the least, but 60 pounds would be perfect. I few days ago I signed a year contract at Anytime Fitness and for the past two nights I have worked out for an hour. I do one mile on the elliptical machine which burns about 110 calories, then I go to each section and work on my stomach, thighs, and arms. Anyways, I have NEVER had a gym membership before and I really enjoy it! I haven't started dieting yet, I just cut cokes out. I also quit eating dinner late; I eat dinner before I work out. And... I started eating what my mom cooks at home instead of going out to eat with my friends.
I have been down the weight watchers road (works but didn't tone me obviously) and the Adipex diet pill road (which I lost 20 pounds the first month but it destroyed my body)
I signed the contract and am committed because I am 20 and am in no rush to settle down... I just want to look and be my best. I don't want to be on a salad diet or anything like that because from my personal experience... If I focus I end up breaking down and overeating. Food has been too much of a part of my life... to an unhealthy weight obsession... to where now I am at the highest weight I have ever been.
I will be working out for one hour five days a week. Any suggestions? And also, my stomach has never been flat... even when I was at my goal weight but didn't work out... If I keep this up, will I have a flat stomach?

I am a 30 year old male. I weigh 300 lbs and I am 6 feet 4 inches tall. Recently, I started taking the diet pill Adipex and it is working but I want to lose alot more weight. So I stopped eating. I'm 5'6 and about 133-135 lbs. Normally (pre-wedding) 124-128 lbs. I workout daily, run at least 5 miles 3 times a week and has always maintained a health diet. So obviously this extra weight is somewhat scary to me. a dr prescribed me adipex and I was wondering if it would hurt me being that I am not over weight.

I've been trying to diet and eat well but everyday I had to endure extreme nausea. It was to the point where I couldn't function at work and I was running back and forth to the bathroom. I actually love salads and other things but I noticed when I started back eating normal I had no nausea. I'm not big on exercising because I suffer from extreme fatigue. I was eating other things, I just wasn't eating the fried foods and other things that my body was use to. I assumed it was the salads because that is what I was eating mostly.

I have tried so many diets. I have tried liquid diets, adipex(a prescription drug), hydroxycut, zetacap, weight watchers, atkins, etc. I lose weight only to gain that and more back. I was reading over the requirements for tricare to pay for the surgery and it clearly states 100 pounds over weight with a comorbity or 200% over body structure. It has nothing in there about going on a diet for 6 months. I was reading about a young lady that hired an attorney. The attorney proved that the handbook didn't say anything about the a 6 month diet and she got approved for the surgery. The whole process from start to finish was less than 2 months. So i'm probably going to just look into getting an attorney because i'm not going through the hassle of waiting to go through their diet programs. I have a family history of diabetes, heart diease, strokes high blood pressure. I am 28 yrs. old with 3 beautiful children. SO i'm just going to get an attorney have the surgery and get my life back. I'm a month away from my 20th birthday, and i want to get some weight off. I've done weight atchers and it works. I've taken Adipex and it works too. The problem with these things are that WW needs a lot of detailed attention i do not have time for... and Adipex made me very depressed.

Start of I am overweight.
I started Adipex prescribed by my doctor the end of April . I have lost 31 lbs so far. I work out at YMCA and recreationally swim (play with my kids) 3 to 4 times a week.
My doctor suggested this meal replacement I haven’t even heard of myself but he has and he has been using it with other patients with great results so I trust him. Average weight loss 2-5 pounds a week on it. I will continue my Adipex for Appetite suppressant and I started the meal replacement today. The meal replacement is sold through him and he gave me free boxes 50 dollars worth. It will end up costing me about 100-150 month.
Essentially the diet is high in protein and low in carbs and fat. This diet is calorie restricted.
My question is
Is protein what I want
to lose the weight and if it is would adding a protein shake once a day aid in further weight loss?

Gained 37 pounds during pregnancy but was about 20-25 pounds more than I wanted to be before preg. and have only lost 21 in 5 weeks. Adipex makes me crazy so I can't take those again. Dont know what to do. Still look about 4-5 months pregnant and have never experienced this before. C-section was very traumatic and had hard labor for 2 days. (scarring cervix due to cancer 4 years ago would not dialate and actually tore and lost alot of blood.) Blood count is still very low like a 7 or 8 and no energy to exersize. Hate the way I look and hate still wearing maternoty clothes after 5 weeks. Changed diet but no more weight loss. sorry so detailed just don't know what to do. Dr's seem like they just don't care. Preg was not planned (pill) so all of this has been hard. Any suggestions? Baby is healthy and beautiful though. Would love to be able to go back to work at at least the big size I was before I got pregnant and wear some of those clothes. 3 1/2 wks to get back to work.

I am not asking anybody to preach to me about diet pills. I am obese, and am going to do see a weight loss doctor next week. I am covered by United Health Care. On the first day of my missed period I had a light brown disharge and it continued for about 4 days. It was very light almost not even there. I am in need of losing some weight so my doctore suggested I try the diet pill Adipex. My sister is taking it and she looks great, losing over 30 pounds so far. This is also a temporary pill that just helps jump start weight loss. Anyway, my mother-in-law sells this Herbal Life and she, along with my Father inlaw have been trying to get me to take this stuff to lose weight. It is a costly herbal pill that is widely backed up by many Christians, such as my inlaws. They swear by the stuff, even though I have yet to *see results in them. Anyway, I know how they are about taking precription meds, so I have been uneasy about telling them. Some say just don't tell at all, but I felt the need to because they may see my car at the clinic, or my parents may tell them (close friends), or I just can't lie about a drastic weight loss in the beginning. So my husband told them last night and his mother mouthed off quite a bit about me taking this stuff. I know I'm going to get the heat from his Dad.

I really dont know whats going on with me. I posted a couple days ago about a chest cold, at least thats what i thought it was. Yesterday I was feeling a tad better....today...omg.... My whole body is so tender...i cant have anyone touching me it hurts so bad. I am having random spurts of sharp chest pain on the right and left side. And i feel like its hard to breath most of the time. I havent been coughing as much and no other real symptoms other than being really tired. And loopy at times.

I also wanted to add that I jog on my treadmill and work out on my Total Gym about 3 times a week. I also only drink bottled water, except for breakfast I drink OJ. I would say I drink about 7 16.9oz bottles a day. So please don’t think I am totally lazy and want an easy fix, just some extra help.

I've been taking Adipex for a few weeks now, and I am not noticing the dramatic results everyone is talking about. People told me I would notice something big within a week or two. I'm 20 years old, and I've been having hot flashes for the past few days. It has never happened to me before. I just started taking Adipex-P, changed my diet drastically, just had my period, and am getting over a cold/sinus bug. Anybody have any clue which of these things could be causing it? I've read good and bad thing about it from people who've used it. From what I can gather you need to make lifestyle changes to be able to continue to keep the wieght off when you stop taking it. So I know diet and exercise are essential but what spacificlly do i need to do or change. I will already be cutting back on as much sugar intake as possible(I'm isnsilin resistant ... just diagnosed. I am lossing wieght to try to help with the diabetes). I am walking at least 3 times a week for at least an hour each time at about 2.5 mph. I am increasing that steadily. I am changing my diet to incorparate more veggies and less carbs.
My question is will this be enough to sustain the wieght loss after stopping the medicine?
