I hear and see the news about the lastest popular television programs constantly, and it all just looks so shallow and cheap. A few days ago I was waiting to have new tires put on my car and the TV in the reception area was blaring mid-day programming (the Fox network) and it was completely brainless: a blond cutie editorializing about her opinions of Tibet protestors. It really seems to me that popular television is almost only for children age 12 or less. I mean, how can any reasonabley intelligent person make the choice to surf the cable channels hoping to find something interesting instead of simply picking up a good book? It all looks SO BORING. Am I missing something that I really should be watching?

Yesterday, I was coming home from work w/ a friend & when we pulled up to my apt noticed a small sheet of paper stuck inside my door. When I looked @ it, it was nothing but a credit card slip from Sonic. I then tried to open my door and couldn't because my locks had been changed! I went to the office to find out what was going on with my locks. During that conversation, I noticed 2 black guys knocking at my door. The leasing agent made a phone call when I asked about my locks then stepped outside. Then 1 of the 2 black guys came in & asked my name. I identified myself & he showed me his badge. I immediately asked for an attorney and he said it wasn't necessary because I wasn't in trouble. He questioned me about my neighbor and if I knew his whereabouts. I told the agent that he has been in Dallas County Jail for a week. (BTW, They were shocked to hear that he was in jail!). They asked a few more ?'s and went on. Well that day a lady in a gold car was following me arou
she followed me around Dallas and then just parked in plain view in the apt complex when I got back home.
After questioning, I got keys to my apartment and noticed that things had kinda been rummaged through, but didn't really think anything of it. This morning I go to work and find out that the Marshall's had gone to my work and knew that I was scheduled that morning to work and asked where I was.
So what I have concluded from all of this is that they had my locks changed, came into my apartment (the only way they could have known my work schedule) and followed me around for the day just to answer questions concerning the whereabouts of my neighbor. That seems excessive.
My neighbor is on federal parole and is wanted by Marshalls for bank robbery. I am also a felon on state parole for drug related charges. with all these new safety equipment, why are they driving slower now than 20 yrs ago with less safety equipment. i started watching nascar in 1999. that was when you can bump somebody with out getting black flagged.(my driver was dale Jarret) or you can race back to line to get your lap back on a caution. now that was racing and it made it interesting. now you bump somebody you will almost get black flagged unless you are dale earnhardt jr. or Jeff Gordon and then you can do anything you want (lol). with the new wing wich it helps the rear of the car from sliding from side to side (losing traction) they should be going faster than 180 miles an hour at daytona. idont watch nascar like i use to. it is getting to boring to slow and no action.( the only person who's got balls to say anything about nascar is tony stewart).

I have been married and living with my inlaws for a year and a half..i have a son ..and me and my son sit at home everyday. I live 6 hours away from everything I have ever known. I have started thinking bout going home but Im not sure. I don't go anywhere,usually my husband drives the car to work. I have no one to watch my son so I can work. My husband helps but not as much as he should. His parents don't ever want to watch my son. If I went back my husband says he will not go. I have a home of my own there..a job and plenty of people to watch my son. I have thought about daycare but we can't afford it. I don't think I will ever be happy here.
I just wanted to add that I have talked to my husband about all of this. He doesn't want me to go. I just don't know what else to do. He does get his own time to do whatever he wants and rarely do me and him do anything together at all.

Story cut short my insurance company sent me to an auto repair place and they charged us $1,700 my insurance pays $1,200 and I pay my deductible. This accident was in Jan. they sent me the check to pay for the damages at the beginning of Feb. and the date to get my car fixed was this week. Now come today they said there is more damages that they did not see on the first visit. Which was rust from the winter weather and now they want to charge me and extra $1,000 - I told them they were crazy I'm not claiming another claim and get charged more on my insurance and the total charges on the repairs was more than my vehicle worth. So I told the my insurance to stop the work I'm not paying. The check was under the repair shop name and I'm supposed send the check back to the insurance. Shouldn't I get the check since I'm the one paying the insurance and I could find some where that will do it for cheaper? Help me with anything thanks

Open Question: Strange nervous stomach problem?
I am just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if so what type of treatment works because my doctor says she has never heard of anything quite like it.
When I am in a car for almost any length of time ( ten minutes to ten hours) my stomach gets very upset to the point where I get a very strong urge to need a bathroom. And it is not just that I THINK I need the bathroom because i do actually get physically ill. This only happens when I am in the car and usually once I get to wherever it is I am going I feel better...until it is time to leave again.
The doctor put me on anxiety pills but they don't seem to be doing much to help.

There was a car stolen right in front of the shop I am at, and the guy was never caught. 2 days later, these guys drove up and just stared at our shop. They were really creeping me out, they looked like they might belong in a gang... what if the car being stolen was a gang initiation? I have an auto loan from company ABC, that I signed up with in June 2007. I got myself a black 2004 Honda Accord EX. It's never been in any accidents, always maintained, leather seats, wood trim, sunroof, XM radio.
It has almost 90K miles on it. My balance with my finance company is always current and I pay on time every month. My payoff which is good till 4/26 is sitting at 15k.
Now, my friend is selling her fully loaded 2006 Lexus IS 350 with 48K miles. She is getting a bigger SUV. She has the Lexus financed with Toyota, and she got it brand new.
I WANT THAT CAR!
So my question: How do I go about switching my Honda (trading it in maybe?) for her Lexus? Also hopefully, not paying anything out of pocket in the process? Just please tell me what steps to take and I will follow it one-by-one. But I REALLY want that car.

They broke into my car over the weekend.they stoled my purse and it had all my information and debit cards.We reported it stolen to the police & my bank but by then purchases had been made.They purchased gas and a oil change at 2 seperate places. Is there anything that can be done to trace whom made the purchases? I know for a fact that for an oil change they ask for your information. But what can i do to find these criminals.
Open Question: My First Car Accident?
I was in traffic at a stop light about 10 cars down from the light when a mini van comes and hits me from behind. I am not sure her spend but it was fast enough to give me whipflash. I have never been in an accident this is my first one. At the time I didn't feel much pain and considering it was a minor accident I didn't feel the need to call the police, she asked if we could settle this without the insurace company getting involved. I was more in shock than anything and got her all her info down and left.
Next morning I woke up really sore and took over the counter advil to help with the pain. I ended up going to the ER to get checked out and all the doc. did was give me pain med to nock me out.
Its been a week and I am still in pain and now getting really bad headaches. My back and neck hurt.

My driver license is expired will the insurance still cover me?

My dog got out of the front side of the door, and ran out to the street. There he got hit by a car. It has been one day now and back from the vet. The vet said that only his left leg was severely damaged. It penetrated all the way down to the muscle layer... The dog looks like he can walk right now by limping. We got daily medication to give to him every 12 hours. Has this ever happened to anyone? And will I have to keep paying $320 every week. As I paid $320 yesterday.....

Just to clarify, my vet bandaged him and gave me 24 pills to work with for 2 weeks. I have to go back weekly. Thank you for all of your help. I feel better now.
And one more thing, the injury pentrated through the skin layer, fat layer, al lthe way down to the muscle layer. But no broken bones... is that going to heal? And will he be able to run again?

This was a very vivid, detailed dream. There was apparently a barbecue I was supposed to go to at a friends house for a birthday party, so we all came together. In my car of course. I don't know who's house it was, but there were rooms we didn't know about that were used from certain unspeakable things. [i have movie like dreams- lucid dreaming i guess] The only problem was, there was no party, and a guy who, in real life i had run into at the mall at work [really bothered me..] never saw him before that, was the only one at the house. There were about 8-9 of us girls, me being the oldest of all of us. Im 21 in real life, and i was the same as i am in my dream. This guy would take eachof us and tie us to a railing that was on the wall above the bed, and we would be undressed completely. He would have his way with all of us, and it was constant, we just laid there till he came back for more. all i could feel was trapped and i felt in charge of those girls who were getting raped.

[ they were being castrated.] I could only imagine what he would do to the girls, and so we were in the living room area and i decided enough is enough, he is out of the room, so it was our time to escape, and it took me convincing the girls to leave with me, and we snuck out to my car, which had hardly any gas, cause he had drained it, and took off as fast as my foot could make my car accelerate. I made it to a
familiar farm-to-market hwy, and was going about 90 mph, and i get pulled over by a hwy patrol car. I rolled down the window in a hurry with my words spilling out of my mouth faster than i could realize it was HIM and he was reaching in to strangle me.. thats where i woke up. in a panic and crying and searching for my boyfriends arms to hold me while i cried, and he was very confused as to what was going on, and i eventually told him about the dream. The thing is I am supposed to be going to my friends 20th party on the 25th, its a barbecue, and there will be alcohol, and we were going to fill the pinata with stuff from a XXX store for fun. None of this was in my mind when i dreamt this- i had actually forgotten about it. and sometimes i have predictive dream- so now im worried that maybe i seen what might happen on the 25th, or something i will hear of the news.. its happened a few times before, with plane crashes and stuff like that.... someone clarify/ analize.. anything, THANK YOU!
