I don't know what happened to it, but at first my i pod wouldn't turn on or do anything, but now it goes to the apple logo and then turns off after being on that screen for a while, and sometimes, before it turns off, it goes to the normal screen when you regularly turn it on, but their is no light. It only turns on only when it is pluged into the computer, then when you unplug it, it stays on the apple logo for a little while, then turns off. Can someone please help me?

I'm using a Digital Set Top Box for cable TV reception given by the CableTV provider(Asianet). The cable is directly connected to the Set Top Box and it has three outputs. 1 Video (RCA) 2 Audio L,R(RCA). I have connected the Video output to the RCA input of my TV Tuner Card. The Audio cable is connected to the Stereo IN (Line IN) of my sound card.
My problem is a Hum Loop is being created through the Computer's Earth point. I assume this is happening because the output from the Set Top Box is connected to two different devices, (i.e Sound Card & TV Tuner Card).
If I cut off the Earth wire of the computer, the loop disappears and I can view Cable TV fine.
My question is, "Is there any way I can get rid of this"?
I know using computer without the Earth point is a bad idea. Could anyone please tell me the problems that can happen when we use a computer without an Earth Point?
If any particular Computer Components affected, please let me know.

I have a windows xp (emachines) and when I go to turn on my computer, the modem will not come on. The only way it can somewhat come on is if I hold the modem button but once i let go, the modem turns off. Right now I am on my laptop. My opinion is that Area 51 is real there are dead aliens buried underground in a secret facility which they did research on before they buried them and also stashed away there flying saucers. Keep in mind the united states builds aircraft for war on a daily basis in and around area 51. what happened on that ranch back in 1947 is real. All the ufo sightings we see are actually our military using the alien technology. Computer chips came from aliens and other high tech devices for the military. This is my theory about it and I believe is the truth but our government doesn't want us to know. I am thinking the aliens are real they do pilot flying saucers in the sky however we won't know if there really test flights out of new mexicos area 51 or real live aliens in the sky. I have a brand new computer with a legitimate version of Vista Ultimate that came pre-installed, "needs to beAfter that, something else needs to finish the previous Office "configuration" and takes several minutes to do so. Again, it wants to reboot, something else wants to finish, then I get the RESTART NOW option.
To make a long story even longer, this keeps going on and on and on, even after re-installing (repairing) Office from the CD. It's a never-ending cycle.

I have just installed Sims 2 in my computer. Every time I try to run it, an error occurs. It states that I have 'compatibility' issues.

I have a Mini SD and adapter. When the SD was attached to my computer via adapter, I tranferred the music to the my_music folder on the car. When I returned the card to my phone, it says "no content saved" but recognizes some memory has been used in the card. Is the only way to transfer music with a USB cord?

I went to run a few errands during a storm recently and when I came back my computer was dead. Power button does nothing. No lights or fans, even on power supply. I tried an old working power supply and still nothing. Computer was on while I was gone, and not on a surge protector. What most likely is the problem? I think mother board, but would a fried processor or RAM sticks cause the complete lack of power?
