I get really anxious in certain 'social' situations, I am currently working hard at overcoming my problems, I am very self conscious and hate attention on me, which triggers anxiety, and that anxiety makes it very difficult for me to perform.
I didn't want to use medication because I wouldn't need it for every day use, but mainly for situations like interviews, meetings, training courses where you have to do role play, etc - I struggle terribly on and its really holding me back, so I want to try a medication to help me get by in these situations.
I have tried Diazepam and it just didn't work for me. It just me feel tired and yawn a lot, but my anxiety was still there.
My question is, has anyone tried Diazepam for anxiety and it didn't work - and if so, did you try Xanax and did you see a big difference?
I was thinking of purchasing Xanax online, but at $200 for the medication I just want to know if its worth my while spending that.

I wouldn't become addicted. I don't need them on a daily basis, I want them to help me get through situations that cause me so much stress and panic. I am working on overcoming this, I am working very hard on changing beliefs. I have seen a therapist and done hypnotherapy, I am improving but I have an extremely negative self image which I work so hard on aiming to be the best I can.
But I need some medication to help my anxiety in the situations that stress me out so much. Things like role play on a training course gives me panic attacks and I can't stop being sick when faced with it, I can't get my words out because the anxiety is so huge.
So you are saying that I should just struggle on and keep doing my work with therapist and put life on hold until I sort it out? What if I never sort it out, should I waste my whole life?
The anxiety which is triggered by being self conscious and afraid of attention on me makes it impossible for me to perform. I need to take something for it!

Right now, I'm sitting here with a bottle of 180 Diazepam's. I know that they can't kill me but I also have 90 Mirtazapine as well and I feel like taking them all. I'm not sure if the combination of them both will do me in. Addicted to the online drug Reductil. I can starve myself for weeks on this. I loose a lot in a short space say 3 months about 4 stone then 18 months later back to a size 16...then it happens again ...I go on it again ...and three months later I am a stick ..size 8. I want it to stop. My GP is not approachable. Even when I get to a size 8 I feel too week to do any proper exercise. When I'm on it...my hear rate increases too much so I can't exercise instead I drink fluids and starve. Las time I starved ...three months later after the weight came off..I notice my hair falling out. This is self-abuse I know. What can I do other than approaching my GP. One of the side effects of the drug is a high BP and I get easily wound up on them. In the past I have brought stuff or stole stuff (diazepam) to calm me down. I don't want to live like this anymore but I don't want to be judged wither. I hold a good job and my family do not know. They would be disgusted if they knew I was buying Reductil
