Open Question: The Perfect Tree Riddle?
I live in San Diego, CA , climate zone 24/23. I lost a very large (30 feet high by 30 feet wide) Pepper tree in my backyard. I am looking to replace it by planting something new.
Here are my dream specifications:
1. It has lots of room to grow and would like it to provide shade like the pepper tree.
2. Preferably not a messy tree, not a lot of droppings.
3. Preferably provides some kind of fruit and/or beautiful and great smelling flowers.
4. Preferably not an intrusive tree because it would be near some concrete work.

Our anniversary is next Friday, we've known each other for 5 years. My fiance doesn't like to give or receive sappy things like poems, songs, romantic movies, flowers, etc (you get the point). On the other hand, I am very romantic. What is the best way to celebrate this?
In the last few years, we celebrated it by having dinner (home cooked or in restaurant) and to an amusement park.
I have an idea for this year to call a massage therapists to our apartment (1 hr for a couple massage is $75), kind of pricey for me, but actually that's a really good deal. But I figure that would be something to start or end our anniversary. Any other gifts or places to go to make the day extra special for both of us?

My fiance is a known procrastinator, but I would think since this is our wedding that he would make sure things got done. We are getting married next month on the 27th. He is just now sending out his invitations to his side of family and friends (which he had to have his redone because the rsvp date was back in 7/31/08) , just now getting the guys together to go and get sized for tuxes, has not gotten their gifts yet. I have been having dreams two nights in a row about things that will go wrong with my wedding day. Wrong flowers picked up, no one shows, groomsmen without tuxes, bridesmaids in the wrong colors. My MOH hasnt been any help but all of a sudden now she is all gunho about the bachlorette party and the shoes for the BM's and paying off my wedding cake which is her gift. I was finishing up school, working, and doing an internship while she was done with school and was just working a normal job. Other factors were somewhat minor. We lived together most of the relationship and liked each other for years before going out. At first I would email her every few days to try to get communication and I would get no response at all. After about a month and a half, she came to my graduation only to disappear again. I made the mistake of sending her flowers at work and emailing her a couple of times saying that I had made some changes (I was sincere, by the way). After no response, I just left it alone for a few weeks and got a text message on my birthday wishing me a happy birthday and that was pretty much it. Then I ran into her a week and a half later. She went up to me crying and hugging me without wanting to let go. She said she missed me a couple of times and I didn't bring up anything about the relationship. Every time I would make her laugh, she would cry right away. After talking to her for a bit, a guy came up. She was only really paying attention to me. He had to pull her aside to talk to her for obvious reasons so I said bye to her and took off. It was obvious he was just a rebound and they had just started dating.
The next morning I got a text saying "i miss you!." later in the day i texted back saying "I miss you too. I wish we could talk, but it looks like you found a new guy and I don't want to get in the way. I wish you the best." 3 days later, I decided to give her a call and I said I would like to talk to her when I got her voice mail. The next morning, I sent a text saying I feel that we need to communicate and be honest with each other if things are ever going to work out between us. I said to call me that night. She texted back saying that that night was not the best and she could come over tomorrow. I replied saying I would call her tomorrow. I let my emotions get the best of me and called her later on and she didn't pick up so I emailed her and said that we needed to talk that night and to call me. She never called, so the next day I called her and left a message asking to get coffee. I waited a few hours and then left another message saying "I thought we were going to meet up. Give me a call if you want to get coffee. Open Question: Question about being served with papers...?
I had a company (National Express Florist) call my job and say they were supposed to deliver flowers last week but didn't because no one was home. They said that they wanted to deliver them and wanted to know if someone would be home at 7. I told her I might not be but she said anyone would be fine. Then she asked to confirm the numbers that were on the invoice which was a number that I had for less than a month and I didn't give out and my work number. They also gave me a number to call if I needed to reschedule the delivery. When I called the number 2 minutes later, it was for some computer company (the woman was really confused when I said florist).
So, I'm guessing this was someone trying to serve papers or something but I have no idea for what. I have a few outstanding debts but they usually leave the documents even when no one is home. I have a judgment against me but I am paying that on time. I get lawyer letters in the mail and I ma just trying to save up for a bankruptcy lawyer and the associated fees. I don't have any warrants out for my arrest or anything like that.
Any ideas? I appreciate all that can help! I am kind of scared to go home.
The one part that I don't understand is that they said that it doesn't have to be me there to accept the flowers. Why would they say this if they were trying to serve me? Wouldn't they say that I had to accept them??
I a working pretty hard to come up with the money but it's going to cost me about 1,500 with lawyers fees. If I had that, I would just start paying back some of my creditors. Bankruptcy is the only way since this has been going on for so long (I accrued most of the debt freshman year of college and had minimum wage jobs for 2 years so there was no extra money) and many of the companies want all of the money...

There's this girl that I've known for about a year now that I really like. I've been dating a man whom I love very much for about 2.5 years. We have spent some time together, however, he lives in another country (US), and I only get to see him several days a month. Because of life circumstances and immigration, he is unable to join me immediately here in Canada.
He's a very sweet man, loving, very very compassionate, level headed, respectful, and everything you'd want in a long term mate. However, something is missing. He's young - 26 (but very mature for his age), but has no drive for romance. He's all about the cuddling, laughing, poking fun, but never a serious connection. I'm a very spiritual person, and would love to share elements of that in myself with him. He hears what I have to say, but doesn't really understand or apply himself. He is very passive about things, where I am very pro-active, and enjoy that in a mate. He is a confidant these days, and not a lover, which dissappoints me to no end. There is no seduction, no romance, no flowers, nothing.
I've gotten to a point with myself where I know there is something missing. I have flirted with the idea of leaving him for another man several times now (different men, not the same one). I keep my single male friends away from my single female friends, I guess wanting to keep my "options open". I have never cheated on him, but have come very close to falling in love with another man, who showed the qualities at the time that he fails to exhibit.
What to do... he is unable to join me in Canada for some time - years in fact. It's been back and forth over the border for over a year. I cannot marry him easily due to that. He has no stable income that could support a family. I feel ready to settle down with someone. He's very very far away from that. I fear, that I may waste years on someone I'm not sure I even want to marry. I could wake up tomorrow and be 35, with no family, no home, no children, and no committment.
What do you think I should do? This is a tough one. He's a wonderful man, treats me like gold, but it's been so long since I felt butterflies in my stomach that I hardly know what it would feel like anymore.

My neighbors husband passed away yesterday, although we do talk it is very "hi how are you" "how's your husband' short and sweet... However she and my 3yr old daughter have really hit it off. She has a dog (who is a monster) he hates everyone except this woman and my daughter. He frequently gets loose and comes here and sits on our pourch to visit or if he runs up the street our neighbor will take my daughter on her golf cart to catch him and she also talks her on walks daily with this dog... It's really cute. The question is what at this point should we do? Should I take the three yr old to the visitation for a quick visit, should I just send flowers, cook a meal or all of the above. This woman was married for 51 yrs and her children live many states away and she is all alone. It seems like over the last year or so all she has had is this little mean dog and my daughter.

Well... I walked outside, and saw what looked like a small hummingbird floating about the flowers. I thought it was unusual for a hummingbird to be out at 4 AM. Anyway, I got a flashlight, and walked up to it. O.O. It was a massive Moth/Bee thing. It had a bee's abdomen, a Moths shape, And a size of a hummingbird. The wings looked like dragonfly wings. It didn't appear to have a stinger, And it didn't make any sounds when it floated about the flowers. What the hell is it? Any information would be great. Thanks.

Open Question: Broken heart, broken spirit, lost friend-what now?
This is a picture of my girlfriend of 2 years. We met on a college tour 2 years ago at UCSD.

I discovered her cheating on me with one of my best friends.
I was left devastated, I thought we were meant for each other.
We would talk for hours on the phone and have little dinners in the moonlight. Sweet music would play on my ipod boom box as we discussed our dreams and fears.
She shocked me by saying I was too nice and too caring. She wanted a tougher guy who would not bring her flowers and ask how was her day all the time.
She ended up cheating on me with my best friend, a marine in training.
I just do not know what to do, I am a good person, I cared for her and she threw our relationship out the window like a piece of garbage.
I also lost a friend. A good friend who I trusted.
I feel empty. I am drifting and do not know what to do.
What should I do?
