  • Resolved Question: Difference between these pain prescriptions?
both of these are opiods i am sure and are used for treating different levels of pain. i took vicodin before when I had surgery for 3 months straight, and now my friend is using Ultram recreationally in very small amounts, was doing vicodin prior to this. *what is stronger, vicodin or tramadol(ultram)? *are they different types of opiates? i thought that one of them has aspirin in them, which could afftect its overall strength. *also what is the difference between oxycotin, lortab, darvocet, percocet, oxy codone, and hydrocodone? are some just generic names? someone told me oxycotin and percocet are the same except oxycotin is time release. how is that so if percocet is MUCH weaker, even in high doses? thank you my friend is complaining about severe withdrawal symptoms, shaking, sweating, chills, lack of motivation, depression. i know if the body gets use to having something like a syntheitc opiate it will freak out when stopped, but in her case, i dont get it. shes only been on them for a week (with VERY LOW DOSES) and ive heard ultram is MUCH weaker than vicodin, morphine , percocet etc. when i stopped vicodin it didnt sound as bad as what shes going through.
  • Resolved Question: Is generic Darvocet the same as regular Darvocet?
Someone has tried to convince me that generic is not addictive when the name brand is. I thought a generic drug had to be the same in order to be sold in place of the drug, so I said bull. This is an addict so I think it is just a line to get me off their case. It is not even their prescription, so I want to know, are they the same? If they are, what can I do to get them off someone else's meds before they destroy themselves?
  • Resolved Question: what strengths does darvocet come in and is generic as good as name brand?
i was prescribed lortab 10/500 mg for my fibromyalgia pain. however i've been on the same meds for 2 yrs now. i was prescribed darvocet 100-650 mg and was told to alternate. is the darvocet good enough for the pain or should maybe i go stronger and is there a stronger if i need it.
