About 15 years ago....
My aunt tried to have a child so she did but the baby died.
She has gone everywhere to help her have a baby but nothing helped.
About 3 years ago,when she gave up trying to have a child, she decided to adopt one but in Mexico.
So she looked and finally found a child who was not born yet but April,the babys mommy, had to give her away because the baby was an accident and she was scared that if her dad came back from a far away job, he would kill her ,the baby,Aprils mom and her boyfriend.
So she adopted the baby girl but April was in a hurry to give her away so she gave no proof that she gave the baby away.
Although they did go through the adoption process.
Now, since we live in the USA my aunt wants to bring her here btut according to many lawyers it is not possible b/c she has no proof that
the baby belongs to her.
So since she can't bring Sandra,the baby here to the USA she has to go and come back to Mexico every now and then and Sandra is heart broken.

Ok my mother has always been...well kinda loopy. When i was ten she made me take a pregnancy test bc my period was ONE DAY late. She once slapped(i was 13) me because we were in a waiting room and i was joking around with some highschool girls about something and they told my mom "your daughter is hilarious" she freaked out on me in the car and asked me what i said and i must have said something bad for them to make that comment and she slapped me and then started to hit me in my already sore from developing boobies. She pulled me by my hair bc i made a long distance phone call that was 5.50. She wouldnt let me learn to swim bc she said the white ppl would drown me. Well her excuse for all of this was that her hormones were off balance bc of her hystorectomy she had when she was 35. Well as far back as i can remember shes always acted like this. I thought maybe since she has herbal hormones she would be better but nope shes still acts the same. Two days after a car wreck i had i was depressed and upset(the car turned upside down) she was screaming at me to wash the dishes. I asked her could i do it after i finish my hmwrk. She flipped out and started to try to choke me. She tried to choke me again bc i was complaining to a friend how she ruined a vacation to Disney World bc she spent the whole time screaming at my stepdad for "oogling" a Disney dancer at epcot.My friend was like "wow thats bad im so sorry for you" she overheard it bc she was listening in like she ALWAYS did.She came busting in my room screaming and then started to choke me ...i fought back and started to pull her hair and kick to get her off me. She then demanded i call my friend back and tell him he was no longer allowed to call the house. Well i finally went away to college and now im back home while i look for a job. I see nothing much about her has changed. Shes mellowed out a tad but not a whole lot. She still gets mad quick. She got mad today bc we were leaving to avoid relatives(dont ask why we couldnt just not answer the door) she yelled at me for trying to eat some breakfast. She knows if i dont eat i will get sick...we did stop on the way out of town and got something. Now shes sick with diabetes and high blood pressure so she blames her foul mood on that ALONG with her hormones. I havent had my period since August! and Im not pregnant. Ive smoked weed and taken pain pills and did coke once- I do eat but Im a very light eatter and I dont get totally proper sleep. I do work 40 hours a week at a firm and am making a transition into taking over a co. which is sorta nerve- wrecking but more so exciting.. but i do often worry about if im doing a good enough job and havent had as much energy as I like to perform up to par. i am always busy and dont get a chance to go out and meet friends (which is sad for me) and the ones i have we get into some lively heated- discussions. i have a lot going for me but i dont put in enough effort as i should.. i had a really baaad childhood w a single parent mom who hated me- so at 23 im still just always stressed torn b/t trying to do the best and move on beyond that emotional truama, fending for myself trying to do what's right. it depresses me that no one in my families close and they are all mentally and emotionally sick.. so im never around them. my dad's no better. i live alone in a city w no family. i dont feel stressed (bc i feel like i have all my life). ive smoked pot since 19 but not nearly as much now. i would say once a week. i do drink alot. i did coke in august before that i did it one other time in nov of 06. also i just tried pain pills this past month and have probably done 10 in the course of this prior mo and a half... besides just judging me pls give me some insight into my problem. im lost

I've been trying to think of what I wanted to say to you...thinking of the letter to you that I want to write.
I don't want you to think that I have wanted nothing to do with you, I wouldn't have stayed with you if that were the case. I have loved you so much and just had wished we could go back to the way things were when we were more carefree...when we would fight then it would be over until the next time. It has been a long time since we've had more good times than bad..."people" were telling me to leave you all the time, saying that they didn't understand why I was staying with you. I want you to know those "people" weren't my family either, my family still doesn't speak badly for they know how I feel about you and know that it would do no good to sit there and try and tell me you're a horrible person...that it would just make me angry at them. It hurts me when you say that everyone is speaking poorly of me and makes me wonder why you even bring it up. Any time you say those things it makes me believe that we are in the right situation right now...that they want better for you than me. When you tell me those things it makes me believe that I would be walking into a cold situation where I wouldn't be able to feel comfortable and part of your family again. You don't realize that not only have I lost you, I have lost a whole family. I felt part of your family and enjoyed talking to Uncle Dennis and Ben...and feeling like I was part of the clan when I went to visit. I feel like I'm living in a soap opera now, something always going on and happening and that is not what I want out of life. I dream of being able to stand on my own two feet. I have a goal of being able to support myself and Stirling and raise him in a happy environment. I want to be able to provide for him, and be able to save for his future. I want to be able to take care of all my past debts and feel good about not owing anything to anybody. I may not know what job it is that I want to do in life, but I know that I want to work some place that I don't mind going to, some place that I embrace and am not afraid of what I'm going to have to deal with when I go in. I want to be happy and laugh and enjoy all the little moments that bring so much joy in life. I don't have long terms goals as I sit here and live in the moment. I know that now and in the future I want Stirling to have a good life...I don't know that I care if I get married or have a family because right now Stirling is my family and I'm happy with that. I'm not on a search for a new person in my life and maybe that's a fault I had before...I was more worried about how I was being treated and the attention given to me rather than the attention I should give to others and the life that I should be providing for those around me.

This is embarrassing. I called an old friend of mine & asked him for a job. He said yes. He’s a hairstylist & he’s married. I should be starting at the salon next week. My husband & I went to a porn shop by my house (not at all a regular outing for us) & as we were exiting the store my friend (new boss) & his wife were entering. I always hear people say "Live for today" or "live every day like it's your last." But i mean, how is this possible? So, if you're just sitting on your computer checking your e-mails or watching tv or sleeping, then you're not living for today? Does anyone you know actually live for today?

i've applied for a job at the ymca and went through my interview, passed the drug test, filled out all of my paper forms and the supervisor informed me on the phone that i was ready to work. i went to the place the next day to confirm it with the man in charge of the drug test and asked him what site am I being placed at and he looked at my papers and he said that there was no proof that i had been interviewed. so he called the supervisor and she said that I was lying and that she never said such a thing to me. she also lied and said that she was going to call me in for the first interview (when truth is, she knew that i had passed the interview). also, another supervior said that i'm not getting the job because i was playing with my phone during the interview and laughing when this all was not true. so after this whole mess, when my mother called them and all, that same supervisor called me and said "Sorry we have no space available for jobs right now. Bye." and just hung up without waiting for a response. and they lied about that too because they needed fifteen more girls and were still hiring other people and i was the first girl to apply, which was in august when summer had just ended. what should I do?

I have a room mate i have been trying to help for 3months now. She is a single mother and going to College so I amened her on that, but she has been on welfare her hole life and will NOT work, she is always comming up with an excuse not to work. I babysit her baby for her at no cost trying to help her out, my husnabd and I never see each other anymore cuz he has to work side jobs on top of his full time job to suporrt all of us, this is the kicker, she does not help with anything cuz she only gets 400 dollars a month from welfare but yet she seems to always have money for illegal drugs and gas in her car to go get high, and she brought lice into my house witch i am very mad about, and the other thing that is really hard is my husband and I are Christians and we don't want to hurt her, but our morals are different than hers, we are not better than her by any means but we told her from the begining what had to happen for her to live with us, we laid everything on the table before she moved in. The Government pays for her to go to school also, thats free too, and we have told her time and time again if she doesn't get a job she has to move out, and when we tell her she has to go she cries and says her and her baby have no were to go, so we let her stay, I can't kick her and her baby out on the streets.But then again she could go to every womans place or a shelter.

since last year. he stop touching me.
even I wanted to, he says "not in the mood," or just push me away.
we are having trouble with his parent's health & financial,his business.
he is under the quite heavy stress last couple of years.
I want to have my husband around if I was having hard time.
but he would shut down & not let me in to his world.
I thought he lost sexual desire,but I found out he is watching online porn.secretly.

there is no physical contact at all.
only goodbye & goodnight kiss & hug.
other wise he doesn't touch me even just finger.
we have child. he loves our kid so much. our kid is his life.
I don't feel like I have husband anymore. I feel I am just care giver.
he is not available for me emotionally at all.
we've been together for 10 years.
every time I tell him how I feel the way he treat me.
sad,lonely,don't feel like part of his life.
he tells me that He loves me,but this is how he is. he is happy for what he has.(except trouble),he is looking at future including me.
he understand what I am saying.and he knows he IS neglecting me, but that's who he is & not able to change.
I am stay home mother, so he wants to me to find job or something FOR MY SELF.
so I don't focus on him.

I am a senior majoring in accounting and will be graduating in May 2009. I tried to get an internship for the spring semester but everyone i interviewed with turned me down. I assume that it was because I didn't have any extracurricular activities or a lot of jobs to put on my resume. I'm thinking about trying to do a few extracurricular activities and working at H&R Block during the spring semester. I was wondering will working at H&R Block be a good attribute to put on my resume?

Open Question: How do I get out of my depression?
I'm 17 and I've been depressed for quite a while now. I also have socil anxiety, so I have no friends. My family is dysfunctional. My dad abused my mom and drank, my mom is submissive, and the rest of my family is just plain crazy. Everybody has depression and deals with it in a different way. I deal with it by isolating myself. I'm having trouble keeping my marks up in school. I can't get a job yet because I'm doing co-op and can't apply until I'm done. All I feel like doing is sleeping. I have suicidal thoughts and thoughts of hurting myself. Going to school everyday is painful because I'm so shy and anxious.
I've been getting counselling, but it's taking so long for me to get out of this. I've been in for 6 months now and I still don't feel like I'm getting better. What am I supposed to do?
