I agree (partially) in that people are much more likely to blame someone else for their issues.. or as the clips is putting it, they turn to someelse for solutions/comfort. Like parents are more concerned with what's on the tv for their kids, rather then decide wether or not it's even advantageous for a kid to sit there hours on end..

I always remember that movie when they make an elephant out of a mouse like it happens currently with the conflict between Israel and his hostile neighbour states [who dont even have the courage anymore to challenge Israel in an open war and instead use some puppets]. But still this meaningless conflict is portrayed by the media as a huge threat to peace on earth while about 5 million people have been killed in the Congo during the last years without the world even recognizing it.
